Numerous incidents while driving and making a turn into a public parking lot from a 55 mph hwy, all power went off, engine died and just before this steering was very hard to turn, stabil track light has been coming on. Gm dealer stated maybe bad battery, I had the new battery checked and it is good.

The contact stated that the u joint was freezing and lacked lubrication, which caused the steering failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure.
