Failure Date: 09/26/2016

When normal stopping abs activates and keeps activating until pedal goes to floor and brakes do no function, there are no warning lites and no indication of a problem. I was under the impression that any abs failure would revert system to regular brake system. This is very dangerous.

2 Abs Brake Fail problem of the 2000 Chevrolet Silverado 2500

Failure Date: 10/21/2012

Driving at 65 mph, needed slow down for sudden traffic jam. Applied brakes and pedal sunk to floor. After brake pedal hitting the floor, finally had some braking power but nearly piled into vehicles in front of me. Brake fluid running out of vehicle. Repair facility identified abs brake line rusted through and had to be replaced, which I visually verified. At no time prior to, during or after the line failure, did I receive any abs warning light that the abs system had failed.

4 Abs Brake Fail problem of the 2003 Chevrolet Silverado 2500

Failure Date: 11/08/2008

My abs brakes are failing with 65,000 miles on the truck. My mechanic said there is a recall. I checked with my dealer which told me it's only on 1/2 ton trucks, mine is a 3'4 ton. With this being such a safety hazard, why isn't it cover on all the trucks if they admit there is a problem?.
