Takata recall. . . . I feel I've been patient enough this recall was sent to me in July 2016. Is my vehicle gonna get fixed, am I driving an unsafe vehicle with my kids or wife in the front seat? gm say's it's safe and they will take full responsibility however, everything else I'm reading says I should get it fixed and gm once again states no fix is available! I find that hard to believe you can't fix an airbag and even harder to believe they are willing to "say" they are responsible for my wife and kids lives? what is going on and how long is this going to take to fix a problem? gm is also telling me they are waiting for you to make a decision as to weather or not the recall truly effects their vehicles, because they feel its not a problem ( or they just don't want to fix them in my opinion).

Takata recall: my vehicle VIN is listed as one that has been identified as having faulty takata airbags. Gm was given until sept 2017 to complete its investigation and come up with a plan to resolve the problem. So far I have heard nothing from gm about this and when I called the local dealership in November of 2017 I was told to just "wait and we'll let you know". The deadline for their investigation ended three months ago. I have a faulty airbag and am driving myself and my 5 kids around town daily. I need this to be fixed, but gm refuses to do anything and apparently the federal government lets deadlines slide by without any repercussions against companies that are defiantly flaunting the rules. What can be done about this so that we can be assured our vehicles are safe? the 20th death as a result of a faulty takata airbag was just confirmed today.
"takata recall" I have taken the vehicle to the dealer where purchased 4 times with no success in getting the airbags replaced.

The first issue was the dashboard craking in numerous spots and chevy did finaly replace the entire dash. The next issue was the paint on the "white exterior" begain chipping off in large 4-7 inch parts all over the SUV. The dealer forced me to pay half or the partial repaint . 1000. :( takata recall is the latest. I wonder how America can be great again with this level of quality. So sad.
Takata recall. I received my recall notice in July 2016. I called Chevrolet customer assistance today, 11/29/16 for an update & they basically had no new information or parts availability. When can I reasonably expect more information related to this recall and or parts availability?.
