1 Brake Grinding Noise problem of the 2015 Chevrolet Suburban

Failure Date: 10/09/2017

My 2015 Suburban with approx 80k miles, started having brake problems when I would drive in reverse. The brakes had a grinding noise and was getting hard to press. The brake pads were replaced around 46k miles as I bought the vehicle used from enterprise sales. The brakes eventually got worse and had the brake assist message on dash come up. If I had to use the brakes too many times at ine time like if I had to go over speed bumps in my neighborhood, then the brakes would be extremely hard and would lose all power brakes. If I kept the vacuum up with a little rpm's- one foot on the brake and one on the gas, then I could get the power brakes to work. Now it's just totally gone. No power brakes at all now and ordered the vacuum booster and will replace it myself. I called the main Chevrolet hotline and they were totally worthless. I told them about all the numerous complaints popping up on the internet and with Suburbans with much less miles than mine and tried to see if they had any recalls regarding the brakes. They said no. I said they should be concerned before it ends up killing someone.

2 Brake Grinding Noise problem of the 1999 Chevrolet Suburban

Failure Date: 06/20/2009

I'm having an ongoing abs system problem that is the same problem that recall 05068 had. As I slow to a stop my abs system kicks on below 10 mph but above 3 mph. When the abs system kicks on it is a load grinding noise followed by a decrease in controllability and a pulling to the right of the vehicle. The recall 05068 only covered 2000-2002 Suburban years, mine is a 1999 k2500.

12 Brake Grinding Noise problem of the 1997 Chevrolet Suburban

Power steering keeps fluctuating between feeling tight and sloppy. At certain points the steering wheel seems to be pulled from my grasp, and oversteering occurs. Steering also sometimes makes a moaning noise. Also, brakes need to be replaced every 20,000 miles. Last time I had brakes replaced at dealer, I had to return 5 times to have them corrected. I was told shims broke off the front pads and were binding. All I know is that I could see the rotors glowing blue and the brakes smelled like they were burning, they were also making a horrible grinding noise when they were warm.
