The auto-dimming heated mirror on my 2001 chevy Suburban suddenly cracked after bumping into the side of my garage door. The mirror immediately started dripping a green substance on the driveway. I started to clean up this substance with my bare hands which caused a burning sensation. I then noticed that the green liquid was discoloring/melting the paint on the side of my vehicle and eating the concrete in my driveway. I sprayed the areas down with water and found the paint on my vehicle damaged. My skin became very red and irritated after contacting this material. I can not believe that gm could knowingly sell a product to the public with no warning of any kind. The black plastic housing of the outside of the mirror also has melted due to contact with the material. I want to know what this material is and what health problems I can expect to have due to my direct contact. I want to have access to an msds report for unknown material. This is a very caustic chemical.

: the contact stated the driver's side rearview mirror was reflecting double images causing confusion while driving at night. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who determined the mirror delaminated and needed to be replaced.
Driver side side mirror has developed a spot in the middle of it and you cannot see out of it!.
I have just purchased a 2004 k2500 chev. Suburban with the electric camper mirror option. I have driven it two weeks and discovered that the passenger (convex) mirror has a huge blind spot that hides all cars and up to medium size trucks. It is dangerous. The dealer has inspected the truck and confirmed the problem. The service manager has contacted Chevrolet and they say there is no fix. I contacted Chevrolet and they confirmed there is not fix and also confirmed that the service mananger has recommended that this be corrected. Chevrolet's position is that they are going to do nothing else.

Driving at about 40 mph the vehicle will vibrate which will cause both interior and exterior mirrors to vibrate excessively. The car is at the dealership.

My new surburban and several of those that I looked at have windshield visual distortions. Example: vehicles looks taller and skinnier or shorter and wider than they are. It has a number of these optical ripples. The distortion, like a carnival house of mirrors, makes me dizzy and confuses speed judgements--vehicles suddenly seems bigger and closer, or smaller and farther away. Outside left hand rearview mirror likewise has ripple effect. This is ridiculous.
