Wiper Problems of Chevrolet Suburban - part 2

The contact owns a 2005 Chevrolet Suburban. The contact stated that while driving 20 mph, the glass window detached from the rear lift gate hydraulic hinges causing it to hang loosely. The contact mentioned that he had to completely remove the glass from the rear lift gate to prevent it from breaking. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the technician verified the failure and stated that the glass needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The vehicle was repaired. The failure and current mileage was 94,000.

The seat belts will not retract when you lean forward and the wipers will work sometimes but most of the time they will not turn on. This reduces visibility while raining and if it results in a crash the seat belts may not work properly to protect the passengers.

Unresolved 03/06/2013 third row left seat safety/latch issue. Unresolved 03/29/2013 third row left seat safety/latch issue. Unresolved 04/03/2013 third row left seat safety/latch issue. Unresolved 03/06/2013 crooked “lt” decal on drivers side of vehicle. Resolved 03/06/2013 gap between cargo area coat hanger and headliner. Resolved 03/06/2013 my freaking hi-beam headlights did not work! resolved 03/29/2013 passenger-side mirror shakes at higher speed so you cannot see what is behind you. Unresolved 04/03/2013 rattle in passengers side second row seat. Unresolved.

Tl- the contact owns a 2007 Chevrolet Suburban. The contact stated that while opening the driver side door the handle fell off. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who stated that the handle needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure who filed a report and did not offer any additional assistance. Heard rattle and a wind noise as if a door or window was partially open. Rear liftgate glass passenger side hinge partially separated from window glass, allowing the strut which lifts the window up normally to push the top edge of the window up about an inch. What makes this dangerous is that if at highway speed, the wind could have easily caught the lifted glass edge and stress it enough to shatter and injure someone or damage a following vehicle.

Tl- the contact owns a 2010 Chevrolet Suburban. The contact stated that the rear defrost terminal detached from the vehicle. It was taken to a dealer for diagnosis and the terminal was glued back on but it did not hold. The terminal was soldered on and again it did not hold. The rear window was replaced including a new rear defrost system. Fifteen months years later the failure recurred. The vehicle was returned to the dealer and it was glued back on but it did not hold. The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer was notified and a complaint was filed. The failure mileage was 40,052 and the current mileage was 70,000. Dt.

The contact owns a 1997 Chevrolet Suburban. The contact stated that the windshield wipers and washers failed. The vehicle was taken to the dealer. The manufacturer was contact and confirmed that remedy repairs were performed under NHTSA campaign id number:03v159000(visibility:windshield wiper/washer) prior to the failure. The vheicle was not further repaired. The failure mileage was 99,000 and the current mileage was 99,200.

The vehicle was not taken to the dealer for diagnostic testing. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 108,000.

The windshield wipers and fluid work intermittently when on. Called chevy and was told no recalls on my vehicle. It has been a while since this has started.

Windshield wipers work intermittently, there are 2 recalls on windshield wipers, but this vehicle was not included due to VIN.

Windshield wipers work when they want to, when it rains they don't work and when it's dry they do. . . You can hear the motor trying to work but nothing happens. This has been going on for almost a year now and is happening much more frequently now.
