I had driven the vehicle for 50 minutes. Parked turned the ignition off for 30 minutes. Next neighbor knocked on the door and said "your Tahoe is on fire". We called the fire department because we could not put the flames out. Fire department took only five minutes to get there. Once the fire was out we noticed that the Tahoe was totaled. From the naked eye it looks like the electrical fire started on the driver side under the windshield wiper. There's huge hole in the dashboard behind the left windshield wiper. I only had the car for 65 days. Big disappointment because I really like the 2007 Tahoe.

Started with the drivers side lock not working and has progressed to all 4 locks not working with keyless entry and electric switch inside cab. I armed and locked my vehicle and expected the vehicle to be locked when it wasn't and items were stolen from my truck.

All of the indicators in the instrument cluster sometimes read '0' upon initial startup. Sometimes by turning the ignition off, withdrawing the key, and open/close the door then restarting the vehicle the problem corrects itself. However this procedure may be repeated up to 15 times before problem is corrected or, more often, it isn't corrected.
Vehicle will accelerate and max out at fuel cut-off. Acceleration is unresponsive to brake application to include 100% application, resulting in smoke and odor. Vehicle cannot be stopped other than placing the vehicle into neutral and turning the ignition off. Upon restarting the vehicle, rpm will immediately climb to in excess of 5000 rpm. Acceleration problems normally occur at higher speeds but have occurred also on city streets. The problem then resets itself at its discretion. Cheverolet has been "working" on finding the problem since September, total in excess of 90 days. I was provided with a vehicle data recorder (vdr) to image the issue. Vdr has a cable plugged into vehicle computer the dangles between the gas/brake pedal and driver posing an additional hazard. Vehicle is an extreme safety hazard likely to result in great bodily injury and/or death. I am unable to and have been unable to enjoy and utilize the vehicle for the purposes to which it was intended for/purchased and have been placed in a severely risky position by Chevrolet. In addition, control of the vehicle in inclement weather has been compromised due to failure of the stabilitrac where it engages and disengages without application of the button. This issue has also been raised with Chevrolet but no codes were read due to the vehicle being turned off, causing a reset (per Chevrolet). However, when stabilitrac problem surfaced yet again, problem was witnessed by Chevrolet service rep but no work could be done due to an open ticket with GMC regarding the acceleration issue. Chevrolet has downloaded images/information from the vdr and has stated that there is/are issues and reset and returned the vdr to me requesting again that I take more images when my vehicle is stuck in acceleration and to be careful. Initial attempt for this repair in September noted "drivable concern. " problem is recurring from 0-9 incidents each day. I am concerned for the safety of others as well as myself.
The contact owns a 2005 Chevrolet Tahoe. The contact experienced difficulty when starting her vehicle. She believed the failure was due to a shortage and occurred intermittently. The failure also occurred in certain weather conditions. The vehicle has been to the dealer between 6-7 times and they acknowledged the shortage, but could not pinpoint the location. The purchase date was unknown. The current mileage was 33,700 and failure mileage was 25,000.

My wife reported an issue with here instrument cluster on her 2003 chevy Tahoe in October of this year. The oil pressure, water temp, and speedometer were indicating excessively high readings. When she got home and turned off the vehicle the instruments were still pegged past the values on the displays and the speedometer remained at 45 mph ignition off and in park. The problem would occasionally clear but now remains constant. After researching the issue on the web I found that this is a problem reported by many people. I feel that gm should be made to correct an obvious know problem. Thank-you for you good work.
2003 chevy Tahoe speedometer has been working erratically for the past 12 months. Especially during hot weather, the speed display showed slower than the actual speed. Stopping the car, turning off the ignition and restarting usually fixed the problem. On 10/9/06 the speedometer showed 60 mph when the car was off, and now does not ever fall below 60. Online, I've seen many similar complaints from chevy & GMC customers with the exact same problem. The dealer has not indicated that a problem exists, but a dealer told me that they see many repairs of this type. I am scheduled to have the part replaced in two weeks at my expense (since my vehicle is out of warranty) but would like to know if enough complaints indicate that a recall should be issued.
Chevrolet Tahoe 2002, transmission failure. The consumer purchased a vehicle that once had a transmission problem, the consumer was told the transmission problem had been fully corrected. The consumer then found out that the transmission was never fixed and the vehicle has been in the shop for a total of 3 times. Not only was the vehicle slipping, slow to shift and exhibiting a noise when shifting from park to drive, there were other problems such as not being able to turn the key in the ignition, the seat warmed light illuminated when the button was pushed, the speakers were cracking loudly, the a/c light came on by itself, the moon roof rattled and was leaking, the cargo power switch did lock the doors within 5 seconds of the cargo door being closed, the handle on the third row seat fell off, the cigarette lighter was missing, and the rubber stripping on the cargo door was loose.

Vehicle has a no start condition which will persist for 1 to 4 hours. Vehicle will start and then immediately die. It appears to have something to do with humidity or damp weather. Several repair shops have ran diagnostics and reveal a theft deterrent code which comes up on computer. The vehicle has been in for repairs at least 10 times to different shops for the same problem with no results. It is currently at the shop and has been there for over two weeks. This problem has occurred at least 30 times in the last 3 years . My towing insurance is rising and my patience is thin. I am at wits end, help please.
