36 Suspension problem of the 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe

Failure Date: 12/07/2019

Have a 2015 chevy Tahoe ltz with only 35,000 miles on it. The vehicle started riding super rough, felt like it had no shocks when going over bumps or potholes. I took it to a local shop to have it looked at. Their mechanic said it looked like both rear shocks were leaking and needed to be replaced. I dd not believe them as the vehicle only had 35,000 miles on it. Took it to a certified chevy dealer and they told me the same thing. Of course, they said it was not covered under warranty. Come to find out, after looking at several forums, this is a common issue with the magnetic ride suspension in the high trim package Tahoes and yukons and yet gm will not cover them under warranty.

38 Suspension problem of the 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe

Failure Date: 11/01/2019

Vehicle randomly brake occasionally while driving. Stabil trac error.

39 Suspension problem of the 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe

Failure Date: 11/01/2019

Vehicle began riding rough at 58,000 miles. Due to covid we just brought the vehicle in to the dealer and found out the front shocks are leaking and the rear bags needn't to be replaced as they have holes in them they want 2900 to fix. Totally unacceptable there have been numerous complaints on this issue. This is a 70k vehicle with 68000 miles. I have owned 3 new Tahoe's in my life and never had this problem. If gm does not make this right this is the last gm product I ever purchase and if the dot does nothing about it they are just as bad.

40 Suspension problem of the 2017 Chevrolet Tahoe

Failure Date: 10/28/2019

Tl- the contact owns a 2017 Chevrolet Tahoe. The contact received a recall notice under NHTSA campaign number: 19v761000 (suspension, electrical). The contact called NHTSA where he was informed that the parts are pending and that the parts are not available. The contact had not spoken with the manufacturer regarding the recall. A failure had not occurred on the vehicle. The VIN tool confirmed that the parts are not available. Jo.

41 Suspension problem of the 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe

Failure Date: 09/05/2019

Suspension bounces so badly that the vehicle becomes unstable and difficult to control. Failure happened around 75,000 miles while traveling on the interstate and is a very common failure among the Tahoe, suburban, and yukons. Gm has failed its customers by not covering the defective suspension under these vehicles. This will be the last gm vehicle that I purchase, I have had nothing but trouble from this car.

42 Suspension problem of the 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe

Failure Date: 09/02/2019

Vehicle has 65k on it. Most recently the front end started bouncing severely during normal driving conditions and bounces violently over rough road conditions. The vehicle can be difficult to control, especially for my wife, who is smaller in stature. I was advised by my mechanic that the front shocks/struts are leaking. Cost estimates are 1670 to 1920. Vehicle will be fixed on 9/27/19 because it cannot be driven otherwise.

43 Suspension problem of the 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe

Failure Date: 08/10/2019

My 2015 Tahoe ltz, with 73,000 miles, started riding rough and had noticeable bounce as I drove. Took it to the dealer I bought it from and they told me the rear shocks were bad/locked out and needed to be replaced - estimate to repair is $1700.

44 Suspension problem of the 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe

Failure Date: 07/06/2019

Strut leaking (front driver/ passage side) and shocks malfunctioned (rear). Driving on a fairly smooth highway, doing approximately 70 mph when I noticed that my SUV was bouncing and experiencing a rough ride. Pulled over at the next gas station and noticed the rear of the vehicle was a little higher than normal. Immediately took the SUV to the closest repair shop (firestone). The mechanic diagnosed the problem as both struts were leaking and the shocks appeared to be extended. This vehicle has never been off road or towed anything (except a bike rack). Took the vehicle to a chevy dealership (this was Saturday). The dealership comfirmed both front struts were leaking and estimated that it would be approximately $1700. 00 plus a front end alignment (diagnostic costed $138. 00). The issue with the rear shocks was not diagnosed and I was asked to bring the vehicle back on Monday morning but I was in route to a youth softball game in another city. So my family and I suffered the rough ride and returned the vehicle to my local dealership, which diagnosed the rear shock issue as a malfunction and both shocks need to be replaced with a cost of $1700. 00. Now, that is a total repair equaled $3600. 00. Gm should look into the suspension issue with the Tahoe. It is a 2015 Tahoe ltz. It is difficult to believe that the entire suspension system would go out on a vehicle with than 62k miles. Gm look into this issue.

45 Suspension problem of the 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe

Failure Date: 06/01/2019

At around 59,000 miles the rear suspension was very bouncy and a hard ride. Took to the dealership and they advised the rear shocks had extended out and stuck. Stated this is an ongoing issue with this year model of vehicle 2015 Tahoe ltz. The left front strut was also leaking. Was advised this system is controlled electronically to adjust the ride and have all four strut/shocks work in conjunction with each other to level out for a smooth ride. Well $1900. 00 dollars for the rear installed and about $1000. 0 for the front. So $3000. 00 dollars later no covered under warranty on a vehicle with less then 60k miles is not good. Hell my first set of factory tires out lasted the mechanical shocks/struts. It appears chevy has a issue they are not willing to fix or do a recall notice on. This could be a safety issue in vehicle handling in curves and hills?.

46 Suspension problem of the 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe

Failure Date: 05/12/2019

Suspension suddenly became very bouncy when driving on a city street. Steering wheel is affected by bumps in road, turning the vehicle into other lanes of traffic unless holding onto he wheel tightly. More difficult to control. Vehicle leans when turning. Does not feel safe to drive. I am not driving the vehicle until repaired. Shocks are leaking and beginning to seize. Vehicle only has 39,990 miles. Not covered by warranty. Searched the web and this issue seems to affect all Tahoe, escalade and yukon models along with chevy and GMC trucks with the magneride suspension.

47 Suspension problem of the 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe

Failure Date: 05/06/2019

I purchased my 2015 Tahoe ltz in Aug. 2018 with 59,582 mikes on it. My mileage is now at 73,504 & has recently started bouncing so bad when I am driving on a relatively smooth highway. Don't know what's going on with it but I suspect it's a suspension problem. It seems to get worse every time I drive since I first noticed it in may, 2019. I paid a lot for this car & expect it to last longer than 4 or 5 years. I've just read that this Chevrolet vehicle has had 13 recalls which is absolutely not acceptable. I would like for gm to recall these vehicles & repair the problem with the suspension since it could be hazardous.

48 Suspension problem of the 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe

Failure Date: 05/01/2019

While driving suspension system allows car to bounce badly, as if all shocks are not working, ltz model has mag ride active suspension. This problem is found to be common on 2015 Tahoe and suburbans. Many forums on web have reports of this system failure at low milage. My Tahoe was purchased new and has only 71k miles, no collisions or accidents. All maintained ce performed as needed.

49 Suspension problem of the 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe

Failure Date: 04/01/2019

Our struts went out at 60k miles. We only owned the car for about 6 months and we bought it from a chevy dealership with only 1 other owner. We had to have them replaced and it cost $1500. We will never buy another chevy again. My husband's silverado has been nothing but a money pit as well. These expensive cars should last.

50 Suspension problem of the 2016 Chevrolet Tahoe

Failure Date: 03/18/2019

The vehicle has been through the shop for repair to vibrations at speeds above 70+ mph. They have not been able to fix the problem. It seems to be a similar problem other owners experience too.

51 Suspension problem of the 2016 Chevrolet Tahoe

Failure Date: 02/27/2019

Dishonest, untrustworthy, and thief's. They have lost my business, respect, and etc. I went in 27th of Feb 2019 and less than 15 hours the suspension failed on the drive back home. This was a 2. 5 hours drive so the guy informed me to come back so I cancelled plans the morning of the 28th to bring the vehicle back. On 28th Feb 2019, I informed the dealership and they told me it's my responsibility when I done paid you almost $34k cash for this vehicle which is my while savings for the saftey of my wife; four kids. Now its costing me over $2k to fix their problem which supposedly passed inspection. I have the pictures that prove otherwise and the chevy dealership said it is the worst they have seen yet.

52 Suspension problem of the 2019 Chevrolet Tahoe

53 Suspension problem of the 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe

Failure Date: 02/01/2019

The suspension on my 2015 chevy Tahoe make the truck very bouncy. I have approx. 75,000 miles on it. When going down the road I feel every bump in the road and when going into curves it feel like I may loose control of the vehicle. With all the complaint about the suspension on this vehicle I feel that chevy should have a recall on this issue.

54 Suspension problem of the 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe

Failure Date: 11/30/2018

The magnetic ride struts on my Tahoe ltd are failing. Seems to be a defective design. The discussion boards are full of failures beginning in the 30,000 miles. They also appear to be the most expensive strut on a Chevrolet. Same strut as a Cadillac escalade or a GMC yukon denali. Which appear to have a high failure rate. Also found on higher end GMC and Chevrolet pickups.

55 Suspension problem of the 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe

Failure Date: 10/12/2018

My 2015 Tahoe rides like I am on a washboard all the time - anytime the car is in motion. I can feel every bump in the road. It is just awful. I even camp up off my seat today just riding down the road. It started right around the time the car turned 50,000 miles. My husband has a 2011 GMC pickup truck that rides better than that vehicle. After doing some research it appears this is a problem with the magnetic ride shocks. There are many, many complaints about this online. I am writing to request a recall on the shocks for the 2015 Tahoe.

56 Suspension problem of the 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe

Failure Date: 10/10/2018

57 Suspension problem of the 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe

Failure Date: 10/02/2018

Extremely rough ride in front end of 2015 Tahoe while driving at low speeds. Dealership found rough ride to be caused by the suspension. Leaking shocks and struts. Dealership found bulletin #pit5429 replaced the front and rear shocks and reprogrammed the suspension control module, 10/6/16. Brought Tahoe to dealership again and shocks/struts are leaking again, 10/2/18.

58 Suspension problem of the 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe

Failure Date: 10/01/2018

Vehicle is noticeably lower in the front end, you can see the angle of the vehicle while standing beside it. While driving down the road, coming out of a parking lot, going over a speed bump, going over an uneven part of the road, over even going over a bridge (so basically just driving in general!) the vehicle bounces up and down harshly. The vehicle will bounce several, several, several times before it rides "normal" again down the road, and I say "normal" loosely as it it still not riding properly. At times the vehicle becomes so bouncy, that I feel the vehicle come off the road, and has caused me to go into the other lane before. Gm is going to look at , but if its not covered under warranty, it will cost over $2,000 to fix. This is also a certified pre-owned with a power-train, and certified pre-owned warranty currently active. I shouldn't have to replace what I believe to be bad magnetic struts on something I've owned 1 & 1/2 years. Vehicle is very unsafe to drive, but gm has zero loaner vehicles for me to drive, so they suggest I pay out of pocket and use enterprise. It's gotten so bad, that I know the parts in the road where it bounces the worst, and I have to come to a near complete stop before going over that patch, just to keep the vehicle on the road. This happens while driving on city street, highways, dirt road, basically any type of road.

59 Suspension problem of the 2005 Chevrolet Tahoe

Failure Date: 10/01/2018

We've put 21,000 miles on these tires in 3 years and have tire rumbles, vibration while driving and side wall is cracking and flaking away. Brought to the dealer where we got the tires from and they have no idea what's causing it. Seems to me that several people are having this issue. There needs to be a recall for these tires before someone gets hurt while driving.

Failure Date: 09/03/2018

2015 chevy Tahoe ltz. Front magnetic ride control struts blown out with 56,000 miles. Ridiculous. $1600 cost to replace. Gm needs to recall these and replace. These should last much longer. It's a safety issue as your normal driver would probably never know. This Tahoe has never even seen dirt.
