Found standing water in spare tire well. Back seat constantly wet, growing mold. The whole back area is moldy, mold under driver seat. My back passenger door seal has mold and water. Seat belts in back, mold. I had to wear a mask just to drive to the store. The mold turning black the day I took it to a shop for a water test. It's been two days and I still haven't heard anything about the water test.
Issue: when the vehicle is put into park and the ignition is turned off, the vehicle may not recognize that it is in park and a message will appear. This can make it difficult to turn off the ignition and remove the key. The “shift to park” message appears in the driver information center of my 2022 chevy Trailblazer. The cause of this is a malfunction in the park switch inside the shifter assembly of my chevy Trailblazer. My local chevy dealer advised me that some vehicles are getting recalls for this issue, however my vehicle has not. There are currently two class action lawsuits pending on this issue - one in tennessee and one in ohio. I would just like my repair to fall under a recall since there are so many issues throughout the united states on this part it does not seem fair that I should have to pay almost $500. 00 (parts and labor) for something chevy knows is defective.

Onstar module that is supposed to working in case of a crash or another emergency stopped working back in November 2024. It also is attached to other operations such as the vehicles microphone. I took it to the dealership Chevrolet said they would pay half of the replacement. My vehicle is not the only one. There is a forum online and other gm vehicles are having the same issue.

Our 2021 Chevrolet Trailblazer was purchased last December in 2023. For at least a week now the "shift to park" alarm goes off, practically every time we put it in park & turn the engine off. It wont shut up. The lights stay on, and it won't let you turn the alarm on. Sometimes if I wait and go back & jiggle the gear shifter through different gears, and turn the engine on & off it might stop, show me a "check the rear seat" warning, and be alright( until the next time I drive it and try to park it). It's becoming more & more persistent. I checked with the Chevrolet dealer, and they said the VIN number isn't listed under the recall, so GMC won't cover it. We don't have the money to take care of it ourselves, and don't know what to do.
When I place my car in park, a "shift to park" message appears on the dashboard. I am unable to fully turn my car off and the car will ding at me. I have tried driving around the parking lot, pushing the shifter from side to side and into another gear then park again, going forward and backward, but the problem still exists. It started to occur more frequently, until it occurred every time I drove the car. I'm not sure if the car is actually in park, so when I finally get it to turn off, I place the emergency brake on. I can not physically turn the car off when this message appears on the dashboard. I took the vehicle to the service center of the dealer on 11/12/2024. I was told this has been a big problem with gm cars and they have had many cars coming in with the same problem. Currently the part is on backorder, and there is not an eta as to when it will be available due to high demand for this part.
I was driving on the highway and out of nowhere the exhaust pipe after the converter had fallen on the road at highway speed. It happened to be the rear pipe leading to the muffler, which is behind the rear bumper, so when the pipe fell, it fell facing the front of the vehicle. The fact that I was able to get the vehicle to a nearby rest stop safely was amazing in itself, that nothing more tragic happened at highway speed with the exhaust pipe facing forward on the ground is a miracle. How does this happen to a 3 year old vehicle? the flatbed driver said he thought there was a recall on the Trailblazer, as he had towed several with the same problem. I called gm, they assured me that there was no recall and could schedule me a service appt to have the vehicle assessed and repaired, I declined, I already have an estimate from my local repair facility, which is still quite a bit of money.
I get a "shift to park" error message even though the car is in the park position as all indicator says it's in park. If I wiggle the shifter it would go away and come back on when I drive it again. On November 1st I came home from work and it would go off at all, I tried everything, wiggling the shifter, put in drive and back in park took if for ride around the block and it still would go off even after 20 minutes. My husband had to remove one of the battery terminal so the battery would die. It did reset it for a few days but now it's back. I reported the issue to the dealer the first time it happen but they can't get me for 3 weeks. This is a hazer if it doesn't go off as I can't lock my car and my husband isn't always with me especially when I go to work.
2021 chevy Trailblazer when I go to park my car, there is a constant error of 'shift to park'. The car is already in park. I must wiggle the shifting knob, restart my car, or drive around before my car will turn off and recognize that it is in park. My safety is compromised each time I get in the car. If the car cannot recognize it is in park, what happens when it can't recognize it is in drive as I am on the road? or reverse? or any gear? my safety is also affected because my car does not realize it is in park, and at times I cannot exit my car. I am highly concerned that the car does not truly know which gear it is in and it compromises not only my safety, but the safety of my family/other passengers, and other drivers on the road. The problem is a known problem and there is an active fix bulletin for the problem. Gm cannot get the part in stock - it has been 5 weeks. It affects not only my year, make, and model, but many others too. Gm continues to sell the cars with this known safety defect. This defect has been confirmed by the dealership, and gm has sent out a known fix for the issue (TSB pit5616a). There is also a class action lawsuit for this specific issue with gm. Gm's solution to me is to trade in my car for a newer model rather than waiting for the part. In addition, many cars of my year, make, and model require a whole new transmission, but gm will only replace the shifter harness to start with, if and when they receive the part. I was told that the part could take up to six months to receive. For an issue that has been happening since at least 2019, this is unacceptable. The only warning that I receive is when I am trying to shut off my car and it will not shut off due to this error. This has been happening to my car for 2 months, but there seems to be a history of this defect since at least 2019.
When I shift into park and turn the engine off a warning signal and bell goes off, telling me to put the car into park, when I have already done so. This has happened three times. 09/30/24 10/14/24 10/2824.
Unknown key keeps getting stuck in the ignition.
Car is not registering when it is not in park. This should be covered under the warranty or a recall as it is a common issue for this vehicle.
The audio in the vehicle goes out the radio and the warning sounds for all the safety alerts. The vehicle has been to the dealer 3 times the problem still is occurring. The problem is random no telling when it will occur. I have called gm customer service they were useless. When the audio for the vehicle goes out when I turn off the vehicle if it sits most of the time the audio will come back on. Today 8/18/2024 the audio went out twice no sounds for anything blinkers, lane assist, side mirror alert, stop alert nothing. This also affects the radio. The service department tells me they are dependent on the gm it guys who in my assessment have no idea how to fix this. This is a safety and hazard problem with all sound going out for all alert systems.

When I shift my vehicle into park and attempt to turn off the car, the computer gives me an error message, "shift to park, " even when the vehicle is securely shifted into park. With this error message engaged, I am unable to turn the vehicle off and lock it. I end up spending several minutes trying to convenience the computer that the car is indeed in park, by shifting it so it registers.
My navigation, radio, internet and onstar went out and continually goes out on a day-by-day basis. I was in a different state, and it was pouring rain, my navigation, radio and onstar ability was gone. Chevy knows this is an ongoing issue with 2024 and said the radio is back ordered. This car is a 2025 and its still and issue. The ability to fix it has been stated as unknown because they have no fix for the radio at this time in either year. When you rely on navigation to get you home and it leaves in torrential rainstorm, and you have no idea how to get home that is bad. If I had been in an accident or god forbid rolled down a hill. Onstar would not have been alerted to this and it could be a potential life or death issue. Everything in the front of the car goes out. I am not sure what else is affected as the car is new and I am learning all the different devices. In all states nationwide it is illegal to hold your device, that is why we rely on this technology. There is no lights or failure indication other than the onstar goes red and the radio goes out. Onstar has stated if my button is red, it's a hardware failure and they will not be alerted, and I will not be able to alert them to an emergency situation.

Shift to park comes on after vehicle is shifted into park and the vehicle is turned off. You have to hit the gear shift or jiggle it to register it is in park or start the vehicle and shift to neutral and back to park and turn it off a few times to get it to register it is in park.
Nearly every time I park my car and shut it off a message pops up on the message board that says shift to park even though it is in park. I have to restart my car multiple times and shift to another gear and back into park before the message goes away. This has been happening for a couple of weeks but is getting more frequent.
The transmission shift control / transmission range sensor / shift interlock solenoid in my Chevrolet Trailblazer is malfunctioning. When I shift the vehicle into park, it fails to recognize the gear change and displays an error message stating, “shift to park. ” as a result, I'm unable to shut off the engine properly, which poses both a safety risk and a serious inconvenience. I strongly urge the NHTSA to investigate this issue thoroughly and consider issuing a recall to address the defect.
I first noticed an issue about a year ago when an electrical blaring noise was coming from my speakers followed by popping and crackling noises. I have taken my car into the dealership several times without resolution. Since then, I have noticed excessive humidity in the vehicle and recently found the trunk was flooded. I took the vehicle in to the dealership again, and they say the interior fabric is compromised now and the electrical sounds I was experiencing are coming from electrical damage inside the body. I have now read another review online from someone who had the exact same experience with this make and model. I believe this is a safety hazard to drivers who are unknowingly driving around for months in a vehicle that could be flooding and could cause severe damages like in my case. I have documents to support these claims, but I do not have electronic copies. If someone reaches out to me I can provide hard copies.
When parking vehicle, warning comes on to place vehicle in park although it already is. Engine will shut off, but dash will not and it continuously dings. This causes the battery to die. This happens every time I drive my Trailblazer and the dealership states there is no quick fix but to continue trying to put it in park repeatedly until alert goes away. Through research gm and chevy vehicles have had this same issue for many years with no recall. I demand a recall as this is a safety issue after being stranded due to battery dying if alert is unable to be cleared with workarounds.
Turbo has went out twice or the piece that makes it go and has been replaced under warranty once and is going in the shop again.
Alerting to shift to park and not turning off while vehicle is already in park.
We own a 2022 chevy Trailblazer and we have experienced the “shift to park” issue more times than we can count. We receive the “shift to park” message on the dash screen after the car has been shifted to park and we attempt to turn the vehicle off. This problem has caused me to be late to my job on numerous occasions and late to an exam that determines my graduation at school. Many users report being able to just shift through the gears a couple times or wiggling the gear shift and it shuts off, but that is not always my case. I have, on a few occasions now, had to remove my gear shift knob and panel completely, locating the park switch and manually bending it to recognize that my car was in park. Doing this will typically subside the issue for about a week, but no longer than that. We have tried to have the dealership see the message when taking it in for other things, but it never seems to happen when they are watching. There were no other issues with this vehicle before this started happening. We purchased the vehicle in February with about 44,000 miles. This issue has instilled fear in me every time I go to shut my vehicle off never knowing if it will actually shut off or not. Dramatic or not, it has caused unwanted anxiety and too many mental breakdowns that were not needed. This needs to be addressed and fixed ASAP!.
The sunroof fabric roll came off of the track when attempting to open the sunroof. Yes it is still off the track I have yet to get it fixed due to time restraints. It poses a risk because of the loud noise it makes until you stop the opening of the sunroof. As many individuals open their sunroof while driving it poses a risk of being a major distraction if and when this happens. I have not taken it to get repaired yet but I did report it to the customer service via the my Chevrolet app. It did not give off any warnings or lights prior to the failure . . It was a sudden failure that shocked me when it occurred as I couldn’t figure out how to stop it to begin with.
My 2022 Trailblazer has had a shift to park issue. It’s hazardous as I have to constantly park my car in reverse to get the “shift to park” message off my dashboard screen. My car doesn’t shut off properly with this issue. My car is only at 19,700 miles. It should not be having this issue.
Shift park issue - I bought the car 10 days ago and now start to have an issue when I park the car, put the car in the parking mode and turn off. The car doesn’t turn off as the message shift park is on. I need to turn on again, move, go back, change for drive and park and finally allow me to turn it off. I read it’s a common issue in 2022 Chevrolet Trailblazers.
Car will not allow me to fully turn off vehicle, keeps sending message “shift to park”.
Low tire presher lights stay on even when the tire presher is ok. Also I want to say the anti sliding feature says it is not working as well. I could be wrong about this feature but there si a button on the gear shift that controls this option. The button will not turn it on and off.

“shift to park” alert. It started after the car had 29,000 miles. It would occur occasionally but on Jan 4th of this year, I had to restart and move my car 11 times in order for the alert to be cancelled and I was able to shut off my car. I have been told there is no parts available by the dealer who has my car and they don’t know when the work will be done!.
The radio screen is constantly going black or glitching, the music will silence, the back up camera will stop working. Carplay does not connect often, also glitches in and out when driving. There is little to no air or heat coming from the floor panel when feet option is pressed for climate. In order to feel heat or a/c have to be on face option.
Frame rotting out - has rot holes - unsafe - remainder of truck is good but without a solid structure this truck is unsafe and useless. Many Trailblazer frames do not last and rot out from what I've been researching. Bad product gm.

The vehicle lit on fire under the hood while driving. It is only 6 months old and has just 5300 miles on it. No service had been needed nor done on the vehicle yet nor did any of the diagnostic gauges or software alert me to any issues before it happened.
“shift to park” on my dash screen preventing me from locking my car and the accessories all remain on. I have to disconnect my battery otherwise my car dies if it remains on. I reconnect the battery regardless of how long it has been disconnected and the same shift to park issue reappears this first happened 10/24/23 and again today 10/26/23.
Again on 7/15/23 while coming back from north carolina the ac unit stopped working. It is only blowing out warm arm. We stopped at the south carolina welcome center to shut the car off and see if that corrected it. It didn’t. It is scheduled to go into the dealership on Wednesday 7/19/23. I had onstar run a diagnostic on it to see if anything showed up and was told nothing came up to explain why the ac unit stopped working.
When I park my car, I get a warning to "shift to park" even though my car is in park. This prevents me from turning off my car.
