While returning from work the engine just shut down. It would not start. I thought it may have been the battery. It would barely turn over purchased a new battery and installed it . This all took about a hour and a half. Started the car and it knocked rattled and and squealed. I shut it down and had it towed home. I have no warning lights or codes on the dash what soever the motor sounds like trash.

Purchased a year ago in FL. My windshield came loose twice already where you can see the padding in the dashboard area again. The tire on driver side has to have air in it several times after driving about 20 mins. Pressure keeps reading at 26 and alarm going off with the problem. Husband refills and three days later I move the vehicle and it happens again. Windshield you can hear air leaking from it. Several times when I started my car it had a weird engine noise loud acceleration even when sitting in my driveway. I read no recalls but possible class action pending if you refuse to fix the vehicles. I will be over 36 months before my car reaches 30k miles. I drive to and from doctors, grocery shopping. Casual driving.

2018 chevy Traverse when decelerating around speeds under 35mph city driving the vehicle will randomly rev up and the rpm will go up to 4000 or 5000 rpm, this also happens while braking. Sometimes the car will jerk forward as if it was going to accelerate and other times it just stays at a high rpm for 5 seconds or less until I either come to a complete stop or try to accelerate and it does not respond. The engine sounds like it is in neutral and the accelerator is being held down. It also does not respond to the gas pedal when it is reving like this, and if I try to accelerate the car will eventually kick into gear and lunge forward. Took it to the dealer withing the first few months of owning it and they could not replicate the issue and said the computer did not return any issue. This problem comes and goes since I bought the car brand new in 2018 and concerns me, because it feels as if the car is accelerating on its own and may cause me to crash.
My mechanic said my timing chain is loose & there should be a recall. Also my radio goes real low in a high pitch tone & I can't hear it so that means my turn singnals are low & everything else that makes a sound is very low. Also my window controls are all starting to not work one by one. I only have 89000 miles on my car. My mechanic is telling me I should get rid of my car but I always thought chevy was a good car.

The vehicle began running rough on the highway and a display said service battery charging system. Pulled to the shoulder and turned off car. Attempted one restart but the engine sounded rough so shut it off immediately. Car towed to mechanic. Mechanic found 3 codes related to the timing chain and metal shavings in oil and filter. Engine needs to be replaced.
Tl the contact owns a 2014 Chevrolet Traverse. While driving approximately 20 mph, the vehicle suddenly jerked and stalled. The contact turned off and restarted the vehicle, and pulled over to the side of the road. When the vehicle was restarted, the contact heard a revving sound coming from the vehicle and it began to shake. The contact stated that the engine power reduced and traction control warning indicators illuminated. After pulling over to the side of the road, the contact turned the vehicle back off and waited a few minutes before they were able to turn the vehicle back on with no warning indicators illuminated. The failure occurred a total of four times. During the fourth failure, the service stabilitrak indicator illuminated. The contact took the vehicle to an independent mechanic, but they could not diagnose the vehicle. The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failures and informed the contact that the vehicle was not included in any recalls. The manufacturer provided a case number. The approximate failure mileage was 81,000.

The vehicle started making a noise in the engine, took it into the dealership and they said they thought it was something different. A week later the car started to drive badly and the engine sounded worse. After work I tried to start the vehicle and it wouldn't start. The numbers on the sensor reader stated it was the timing chain. We got it served by a mechanic and the timing chain when it slipped damaged the engine. Now we haven't been able to drive the travers for over a year and we are still paying for it because we now need to put a new engine in it. The dealership and the manufacture were of no help to us. I also would like to make mention, we did have our oil changed regularly.
I was driving my car it was making noises, I too it to autozone to get a free diagnostic check. It was reading that my timing was off. I went back home parked the car 2 days later called the dealership in which it was purchased to have them pick it up and run a diagnostic on it, I still have time under warranty. I was told timing chain is off, by the dealership they are failing to get it covered under warranty stating that I have no been maintaining the vehicle. Called a local mechanic to get new engine pricing, he told me that the engine by the manufacturer had to be updated because of problems with the timing chain. Which is the current issue I am having now.

Car stalls while idling. The rpm's and the battery gauge go up and down while driving on city streets and highway. It has also been warm and cold weather. The car will reduce speed on it's own while this is happening. The vehicle drives rough and the engine sounds harsh. Originally engine light codes of p0174 and p0171 came on and dealership cleaned air flow. Now no codes and dealer isn't able to always recreate. I have brought to dealer multiple times for same issue. Owned vehicle less than 90 days.
My car had started making a noise in the front before I could get it to the shop that I take it to I was going to get my daughter had my son neice and nephew was going down the road and the dash flashed low engine power lost the breaks and could not steer the car. I later found out that it was the timing chains. After research and talking with chevy they refused to do anything although there has been multiple complaints putting people in danger and they will not do anything. They said with me going to a 3rd party to have the car worked on that they wouldn't touch mine. My car has been well maintained I had just had this car over a year when it started this. I owe 17k still on this car and not able to drive it. This is a major problem in several models and chevy is not wanting to pay for their mistake, I have also had this looked at by chevy they tried saying that there was no oil in the car but it was changed and had been sitting for about 4 months. A single mom paying 400 a month on a vehicle that is not my fault that it is messed up. I will never have another chevy again.
Engine issues appeared around 80k miles. Started as a pinging sound when driving one day, within 20 minutes and without warning, check engine light was on and power was very limited. Was driving on a two lane road and was able to immediately pull over, could have been a much different situation if this occurred on the highway or in a high traffic area. Had the car towed to the dealer who reported engine failure and "replaced 2 rods. " covered under power train warranty. Not even 1 year later, at 100,750 miles, the engine failed again. Same sound when pulling out of the driveway. Immediately parked and had car towed again. Dealer stated that it is no longer within the 100,000 power train mile warranty and will cost upwards of $5,900 to repair. Vehicle was serviced in accordance with manufacturer's recommendations.
Approximately a week after taking it to dealership for diagnostic check on steering problems, my truck started making noise. I took it to several mechanics and they all seem to think it was related to the timing chain. As time progressed the noise got exceedingly worse and used an extensive amount of gas. My car is currently not operating and it has approximately 120k miles. I contacted gm and they stated the problem occurred due to the amount of usage. . Read more...
