39 Door problem of the 2000 Chevrolet Venture

Failure Date: 11/27/2003

The driver's side manual sliding door completely fell off my chevy Venture. The dealer repaired the car, but I was charged $509 for " consequential damage not covered by my warranty. " there wouldn't have been any damage if the door hadn't fallen off!! chevy customer service told me that it is not their responsibility and they are not willing to help me. I went as far as I could with "customer service" (more than 6 calls) but I was told they are unwilling to help. I am shock by the lack of concern chevy showed my family. I believe it is their responsibility to fix the car. . . A door should never just fall off the vehicle. I have 3 young children, and feel lucky that no one was seriously hurt.
