Gasoline Fuel System Problems of Chevrolet Venture

The contact owns a 2002 Chevrolet Venture. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked, a fuel odor was detected inside the cabin of the vehicle. I have a 2000 chevy Venture. I brought it used in 1998. Since having it I have no rear window wiper. Heat and a/c work only when placed on high and work very little. Drivers side window keeps falling and we have replaced the regulator on it, and our gas gauge doesn't work. I know of at minamun 5 people that are expericing these same issues. I am at a loss when almost weekly we have to take door panel off to get window back on track when it rains you wouldn't want to be anywhere near my car because you would have an earfull. Last year in April I also had to replace a head gasket because that blew. Oh and running out of gas is just nuts with all the stuff we have out there in the world gm should know how to build a gas gauge. Not having heat in the winter isn't much fun either. What are you gonna do to make people happy. Well lets start with the gas gauge the other stuff is minor compaired to the rest.

Fuel gauge reads erradically.

The contact owns a 2001 Chevrolet Venture. The vehicle was parked and shut off for a long period of time when it ignited into flames. The contact stated that the fire began where the fuel filler neck was located. A police report was filed and the fire department appeared to extinguish the fire. I was driving and notice the van slowing down on me and then it stoped suddenly. I took it to a mechanic and was told it needed gas. Two weeks after I notice the odometer would jump from empty to full back and forth. Then I notice whenever I try to fill it up with gas it would not take more than $5. 00 worth. N.

The speedometer started acting sporadic not registering speed accurately then stopped working all together also the gas gauge does not register at all since the problem began . The low fuel light does operate as of right now. I have read that alot of Venture owners have this problem it is avery expensive repair 500 just for the parts.

Gas gauge reads empty when full or half full.

The contact owns a 2001 Chevrolet Venture. The contact smelled gasoline and noticed fluid on the ground. He then observed a crack in the fuel inlet check valve. The dealer stated that the VIN was excluded from NHTSA campaign id number 07v349000 (fuel system, gasoline:storage), although the failures were identical. The contact must pay $135 just to have the vehicle inspected. He feels that since this is a defect, he should not have to pay. The vehicle will be repaired. The failure and current mileages were 60,000.

Smell of gas, inside and out. Even when van was sitting all night and all day.

I have had my van for a while I started notice jerking when changing gears, then the gas gauge quit working on the vans in 2005, the dealer told me I needed to purchase a sensor to make the gas gauge work, I was just sending my son off to college I didn't have any money so I drove on, next the belt broke on the car almost causing my son to wreck,( thank goodness for defensive driving in drives ed. ). Then the transmission went out , had to pay to have repaired, just got the car back and the service engine soon light came on. Please help I have read the complaints and it seen we are all having the same problem, what is gm waiting on for someone to die are the car to catch a fire this is a manufacture defect come on fix it or give us something to have it repaired at the dealer. This is your business don't you want people to come back.

I own a Chevrolet Venture 2000. . Extended. . At about 50,000 miles my fuel indicator is all over the place it say low fuel or full doesn't matter how much gas is in it. . Also the sliding door was shut one night and fell off in my kids hands. .

When exiting vehicle only on driver's side consumer can notice a very strong fuel odor. Consumer had vehicle inspected and determined that fuel filter was leaking fuel at the connector . Replaced fuel filter, and consumer notice fuel was leaking from fuel filter five months later.

I had a 2001 chevy Venture minivan. It caught fire around 2:00am on March 31 2011 what can I do. Talk to chevy with no anser back need help!!!!.

This is the second time that I have had problems with the fuel system. . . And it has so little mileage on it ! I checked and could not find any recalls on this item. Can you let me know if there are any, the dealer says that don't have any.

Fuel gauge has quit working @ 80k. We had transmission failure @ 18k and a problem with the sliding door @ 21k. We were given an estimate to repair fuel gauge problem of $700. 00 to $800. 00 dollars.
