Brake Light On Problems of Chrysler 200

So I had my foot on the brake to punch in a number at the car wash and all of the sudden the brake did something but my car started rolling while it was in drive with my foot on the brake so and then the brake light came on and I had to like literally push the brake all the way down to the floorboard and I would take it out of gear and it would just roll with my foot on the brake so I take it to the mechanic the service Chrysler center where the car was purchased and they say it's the brake booster I went and got a second opinion because the brake booster rarely ever something that needs replaced especially on a 2016 vehicle and if it does it's only on vehicles that are over 150,000 miles or an older vehicle so I took it to another mechanic to get a second opinion and they said that it was the vacuum line to brake booster needed to be upgraded bc oil is leaking into booster and the dealership should've did that before it was sold to me and that it should be a recall and it's going to cost $717 which I cannot afford especially during this pandemic because I'm not an essential worker and I do not receive unemployment and there's only 29,000 miles on the vehicle.

S. Mail "an important legal notice for owners of vehicles with takata airbag inflators" also on Monday, November 13th, 2017. Months before receiving this notice, I had received an "important safety recall notice in reference to the "occupant restraint controller" which I had placed in the glove compartment of my car to make an appointment at a later date (when personal monies were available) for the aforementioned repair; however, my attention was re-focused again on this "important safety recall notice" (which had been in my glove compartment for months and sent to me by fiat Chrysler automobiles u. S. Llc of fort myers, fla. ). I received a 3rd notice (legal) from tk holdings incorporated. , et al. , debtors, p. O. Box 3004, monroe, wisconsin, 53566-3004 on Monday, November 13th, 2017 (the same day I made an appointment to have my car repaired at umanski). My very first notice came to me around the beginning of 2017 or the end of 2016 at which time I was required to go online to complete a form regarding this matter. The vehicle was taken to the dealer more than once and they were not able to replicate and diagnose the failure. The contact also notified the dealer that the brake lights failed to illuminate intermittently. The contact was also notified of NHTSA campaign number: 15v470000 (electrical system) and the dealer was unable to to determine when the parts would be available for months. . The manufacturer was contacted and could not provide an estimated date for when the contacts vehicle would receive the recall repair. The contact was to the point that the vehicle randomly would not start due to the key being difficult to turn over with no warning. Parts distribution disconnect. Dyd.

I have had a brakes problem with this car. I reported it to Chrysler and they said for me to take it to a dealer the dealer wanted to charge me a large amount of money to check it out. So I took it to my mechanic and had my brakes change. I still have a problem with the brakes light coming on. I also was rear ended and both airbags was deployed. There was no one in the passenger seat. I don't know why the passenger airbag came out.

The brake light comes on at random times while driving, park, stop signs, and on the freeway. My daughter have the same car year and model and she have the same problem. I reported it to Chrysler and the refer me to a dealer in ontario. The dealer said that I needed brakes. I went to my mechanic and had both front and back brakes installed but the brake light still comes on.

Was at a stop light and after taking off the car shut completely down with no warning no engine light indicator until after this happened. I tried to start it and it cranked but didn't start all the way, I had it towed home and now it starts. I had a six month old infant in the car with me when this happened and I don't feel safe when the car can just shut down like that. I feel there is a default in the engine, we purchase this car a year ago. Thank god there was no one behind me when this happened. I also have had problems with the brakes from when we purchased the car I brought the car to the dealer four times before someone figured it out. It was fine for four weeks and the noise is back, there is a noise in the brakes only when you press the brakes lightly. This problem has not been resolved. And the the warranty is up. I feel it's a defect. Upon my last visit to Chrysler there was a customer there who also has a 200 with the same brake problem they were trying to resolve.

As I start to slow down my brake light comes on and a bell rings. The brake light will remain on for about a half mile and sometimes longer.

Car has gone dead when slowing down to make a turn. Brake light on dash flashed and when I tried to break at an upcoming stop sign my breaks went to the floor. Air bags did not deploy when this happened.
