While in motion the vehicle will shut down - steering wheel locks, brakes dont brake, no sensor lights. Vehicle starts after 30+ mins but no mechanic can locate the problem due to no sensor lights. This is a major health issue when the vehicle stalls in high traffic areas and can't be moved. At this time, it has happened on 3 occassions within a two week span.
I can be driving it down the road it will shut it’s self off. Will not start for about 15 to 20 minutes. This happend last night and when it did I was rear ended. When it does this the breaks lock up no matter how hard u push on them they won’t budge. Also it will try to start but the engine cranks at a really low speed but after awhile takes off. Also if you let it warm up it runs jus fine sometimes. Had it put on machine was told it was a map sensor replaced it and still got the same problem. Changed battery in key fob and car battery and still doing the same thing. Seen numerous people on here having the same issue. After replacing all that took to put back on a machine and was told I can’t help you cause it’s not throwing any codes what do I do I got a car that I still owe almost 14,000 dollars on that is unsafe to be driving. The car does this when it’s being driven can let set for hours and stays running but I can’t even make it 3 blocks without it dying and not starting back up for awhile. It’s pathetic as for the date at the bottom that says when did this happen I’ll put it like this it happens every time I try to go anywhere it should be recalled and properly fixed.
I replaced the transmission axle harness back iin 2016 when I got the car. But not all of a sudden the abs sensor keeps going out and it comes on and off after replacing it. I replaced it the car was fine then boom its back on. The car speeds up when I just be going 10 miles an hour and I have to slam on my brakes to keep it from going out of control. I almost had two accidents with this issue. And the dealership keeps telling me that recall was fixed but I dont believe it was. My car keeps trying to speed up with me just even pulling off from a parking spot. Its a Chrysler 200 s 2015 . I think this car is horrible and I am stuck with this lemon.
Immediately after recall work was done I experience issues. When I try to start my car (push to start requires you to push the break and push the button) break peddle won't depress, service transmission lights comes on. I call a tow truck and get it dropped off at the closet dealership. I arrive behind the tow truck and watch it be dropped off explain to service adviser whats going on and I just had recall work done and that is when the issues started. Immediately without even looking at my car or knowing what car is mine she says no its not related to the recall. She is not a technician and doesn't actually know the cause yet. They call later in the day and tell me the body control module has shorted out and needs to be replaced. It is no longer communicating with the tcm(the tcm was updated during recall work but the bcm was not. ) the two can longer communicate because they are now basically speaking a different language. Of course I am told not related to recall. The next day I get a call saying my battery that was previously working great can no longer pass a test. Someone was trying to crank and start my car( the car that went in for a break peddle that would not depress and would not start) I now need to pay for a new battery and there is an installation fee to replace the battery. Next day my cars steering wheel controls no longer work and something else has shorted out. My rental car not only has trash in the back seat but a roach that crawls out from in between the seats. I get a call that the tech who worked on my car finished at closing time so to bring back the rental next day! I'm thinking my car wont have any more issues, I'm wrong!! the menu on my car lets you view the tire pressure and temperatures of the vehicle. All of a sudden the oil temp doesn't display. The setting for my doors to be unlocked with the hand sensor on driver door wont work!.
The contact owns a 2015 Chrysler 200. While operating the vehicle, the check engine sensor illuminated and the vehicle failed to accelerate normally when the accelerator pedal was depressed. In addition, after releasing the brake pedal, a rattling noise was present. The cause of the failures was not diagnosed. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 52,000.
I have taken my car into the dealership to address the constant squealing of the brakes and the emergency brake indicator light randomly turning on. The dealership said there was nothing wrong with the brakes or the electrical system. The brakes are so loud and noisy that people can hear my car coming from far off, they sound like I own an old beat-up vehicle that has never been serviced. This car is brand new and should not be so embarrassingly loud each time I hit the brakes whether it's at a slow creep or on the highway. The emergency brake indicator light on the dash is also very concerning. At first the indicator light for the emergency brake would come on at the top of any hill or incline, like at the top of a ramp to enter the freeway. Now, the indicator light for the emergency brake randomly comes on at least once a day. I am afraid that one day the vehicle will try to engage the brake itself, or that my car will lock up while I am driving fast down the highway. The emergency brake has never been engaged manually by me except when I park at locations where I use the e-brake as a safety precaution. This should not happen while driving and especially if I haven't touched it. The dealership says there is nothing wrong, I beg to differ. The tire sensor for my passenger side, rear tire always says the tire pressure is low as well. It will say the tire is low about once a month, and it's always only this tire. I check the pressure with a hand gauge and all is fine. This vehicle obviously has some sort of electrical issue and the brakes are just horrid!! I would love to get rid of this vehicle but unfortunately with it being so new I am far from being able to do so. What a disappointment Chrysler!!.
