1 Brake Master Cylinder problem of the 2015 Chrysler 200

Failure Date: 04/23/2019

Car has serv awd light on had one shot replace a motor on the outside of the transfer case but the problem came back when shifting from drive to sport next I brought it to Chrysler and they replaced the sensor near the motor that was previously replaced and it didn't fix anything they still don't know what's wrong with it. My car jerks forward mid breaking in the rpm surge also my transmission is slow to downshift in the first three gears I believe it is and loses compression when going up some hills power to this vehicle as in the torque or horsepower is very inconsistent sometimes it feels sluggish other times it just wants to go . Shops report brake surge is normal. Also had sporatic hard pedal, master cylinder is ok. Brake pedal clicks and feels unstable. The steering rack feels loose and dangerous like its going to fall through the floor. Brake pedal arms rusted cars only 5 years old with 60,000 miles on it with no prior flood damage.

The contact owns a 2013 Chrysler 200. The contact stated that while operating the vehicle the brake warning light would remain illuminated and the brake pedal would feel spongy when pressed causing the braking distance to be extended. The vehicle was serviced multiple times for the failure and the abs module , brake booster and master cylinder where all replaced but the failure continued to occur. Also, the vehicle would suddenly stall and shut off while driving at various speeds. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer bayside Chrysler located at 1797 west st, annapolis, MD 21401 who was unable to duplicate the failures. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was 13,000.

3 Brake Master Cylinder problem of the 2012 Chrysler 200

Failure Date: 05/14/2012

Bought the car new, on day 2 at around 80 miies, the front brake warped the passenger side front rotor ,car could barely stop. Took it to the dealer and was told it was a faulty rotor, dealer replaced at no charge, approx 3 months later the same thing happened, the dealer replaced both front rotors and said that Chrysler had a bunch of faulty rotors. Tried to avoid driving the car anywhere that had any large hills or mountains. Moved to florida shortly after the last repair and thought the dealer had actually fixed the problem, but in 2016 I went back to PA. For a vacation and the first time I drove in the mountains, I had the same brake problem, I had to avoid the mountains. Got home, I replaced everything in the front brakes but the master cylinder and abs system. , thought this time it had to be fixed. Then in the fall of 2017 we had to evacuate the state of florida due to a hurricane and we went to north carolina to stay for 5 days. The first big hill we encountered on the freeway the same problem happened, the front of the car vibrated badly and the brakes couldn't hold the car back. Still not working properly very worried about the brakes and still have to avoid mountainous areas. Was quoted a price of approx. $750-$800 to fix. Have already spent $350 to fix it.
