The parking brake activates without touching it. I thought I was probably hitting it on accident but I'm no where near it. It's really scary. When I'm slowing down the car will accelerate on its own and the airbag light comes on and off.

Car has shut off while driving last few weeks. It happened. As soon as I turned onto a road, going 20-30 mph, it has happened while trying to merge onto the freeway. The car just stalls, says "place in p to start" and then dies. The gearshift and wheel lock up and you have to turn the car off and attempt to restart. Each time I had to try at least 3 times to get the car restarted. All lights come on dash, battery light included, but had battery checked and it is fine. Trying to restart, it doesn't want to turn over. This has happened with several cars behind me and have almost been rear ended because of it. Took it to the dealship but, all they told me to do was track my oil changes but, the problem still remains.

He car automatical speed up. And the light keep going out.

Pulling down my drive way my vehicle accelerated without me trying. I hit the brake and e brake. It did not stop us. In result of the acceleration my house stopped us.

Shift control module is defective - console message reads ' service trans stop safely shut off engine to engage park' this happend after I stopped and then started car, message stayed on console- with only 40992 miles - dealer is charging $700. 00 for fix.

I am continuing to have a several transmission problems with the car since I bought it I was not aware of the issues that these vehicles had with transmission I have been to the Chrysler dealership more than once . Not only do they provide the word customer service that I have ever had but they told me that the car just needs to be updated like an iphone which is not something I've ever heard of . Today it would not shift into the correct gear and almost had me hit somebody in rear-end them it is very unsafe and has happened more than once. I need help.

I purchased my vehicle brand new in 2017 and started experiencing issues within the first year. The car has cut off multiple times while driving, without warning, in the middle of rush hour traffic. It also frequently stalls. I've taken my vehicle to 3 different dealerships in 2 different states at least 10 times. Two of the three dealerships claimed that the problem was some sort of fuse underneath the driver's seat. After the car continued to shut off without warning, I was told that it was due to low oil. I've called Chrysler's headquarters who has given me a free oil change package and instructed me to return to a dealership every 500 - 1000 miles for an oil consumption test. They know that the car is burning an unusual amount of oil which is a clear indication that there's a problem. Instead of issuing a recall, they continue to put lives in danger by giving them back their death trap of a car and instructing them to check and get frequent oil changes. I'm guessing their hope is to keep the oil changes going until the warranty runs out. Someone's going to lose their life or get seriously injured in these cars, I just pray that it's not me.

The car runs really rough, loud noise, loss of power and vehicle shuts down. Idles rough and jumps when placed in gear or accelerating. The vehicle stops and I unable move car even if the gear shift is placed in neutral. The vehicle stop when in motion.

As I was exiting the freeway coming from 55 mph down to 45 mph the car just shut off a car swerved around jumped down in a ditch due to my vehicle going to a fast halt I waited hours for a tow still didnt get it my car is left in the street because I was alone and couldn't push. . . . It is dark blue and dark on the street it was 11pm when it just broke down. I had no warning it did recrank but as I hit the gas softly I cuts back off now I have tried so many times due to the danger of my location the battery died this has to be a recall and class action suit.

Tl-the contact owns a 2014 Chrysler 200. The contact stated that while driving at approximately 70 mph, the contact lost functionality of the brakes, power steering, and accelerator. The contact stated that it required extra effort to maneuver the vehicle. Additionally, the brake pedal and accelerator pedal were alternately depressed however, the vehicle failed to respond. The contact had the vehicle towed to star Dodge Chrysler Jeep ram, 5101 s 1st st, abilene, TX 79605, (325) 698-2222, to be diagnosed. The mechanic was unable to retrieve a fault code. The contact was informed that the vehicle operated as intended. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and informed of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 180,000. The VIN was not available. Ah.

The contact owns a 2013 Chrysler 200. While driving, the vehicle lost power. The accelerator pedal was depressed to the floorboard, but there was no acceleration. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that the throttle body needed to be replaced. The contact was referred to auffenberg Chrysler Dodge Jeep ram (176 auto CT, o'fallon, IL 62269, (618) 622-4546) where it was diagnosed that the battery was malfunctioning and the catalytic converter needed to be replaced. The dealer further stated that there was possible electrical failure due to an improper jump start. The contact believed the dealer caused the electrical failure. The contact stated that the throttle body failure recurred even though the dealer did not think a failure existed. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer and they want to charge the contact for the repair. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was 110,000.

The transmission will change gear unexpectedly. Cause my car to jerk shake and unusual long delay to accelerate at times even rev high while prolonged delay before accelerating. This has caused multiple situations that made the safety of driving this vehicle unpredictable and a hazard for me and other motorist.

When the car is parked after starting it wants to accelerate quickly also at a stop position once you take your foot off the brake the car quickly accelerates without using the gas peddle. Also engine light and etc indicator periodically come on. They never stay on but causes total loss of power ! you have to pull over immediately and hope you do not cause an accident and shut the car off. An accident waiting to happen. . Owners manual makes it sound like it is only a problem if the light stays on and does not shut off after you cycle the ignition when the vehicle has completely stopped and the shift lever is placed in the park position. I have to be very cautious driving the car. Will be taking it to the shop soon. It feels like you have no control over the car when this happens very scarey situation.

Warning light air bag has been on won't turn off, vehicle was stationary. Vehicle loses power driving, vehicle stalls out when backing in reverse.

These past few days my car has been stalling out with no warning. All of these times I have been driving in traffic. The car stalls and message will appear to something upon put your foot on the brake and put in park. Once you do that the car will try to restart itself. My car eventually restarts but has still yet restarted on the first try. There is no check engine light on or any other warning codes( no warning codes before nor after the stalling). This is a big safety issue Chrysler needs to look into and address.

When driving it shuts off, a very serious and dangerous problem.

While driving the instrument cluster went out. Speedometer and all electronics and displays went out. I had to pull over on the highway and turn off the car and back on and the display went back on. The check engine light came on and when I took it to the dealer they said the codes that came up are inconclusive. This is the 4th time this has happened and it seems to only happen during warm or hot weather. This is very concerning while driving. Searching various forms, it seems this is an issue other Chrysler drivers have experienced.

Looks like when I speed up gears feels to heavy like gears not changing when is supposed to, feel like doesn't release last gear.

Since I have had my car the service airbag system has came on several times I got it fixed once before, I have had to replace the throttle control body, and thermostat, also it's saying d1-d9 when I drive. It's so many problems and I've only had the car two years.

The car engine keeps on stalling while it is in motion. The car suddenly stops while I am driving it. There are no warning lights, visual cues or sounds to indicate any problem. As a result, the car's power steering becomes inoperable. The speed of the car varies at the time of each incident. Each time this incident has happened, the car has become disabled in the middle of the street. There have been 5 incidents this past month. So far, the car has been able to restart after putting the car in park and after a couple of attempts of pushing the start button along with stepping on the brakes. It usually takes a couple of minutes. During that time, my car is in the middle of the street and in traffic. I have had my children in the car during some of these incidents. It is an extreme safety risk.

I was driving and all of a sudden the car started making a loud whining noise and seemed to be downshifting and lurching by itself. It was not shifting properly and it seemed to be doing stuff by itself. I did not have control over what it was doing. I had to pull off the highway and called triple a and the car had to be towed. It was repaired and now 2 weeks later it again downshifted by itself out of the blue and started whining again. It has not been driven since.

The rpm suddenly stops and it's takes few seconds to go down and speed suddenly increase.

Heat only comes out on the driver side of the vehicle. It comes out really cold in the passages. The heater core was replaced last year be the dealer and it's doing it again. I was sitting a light and when it turned green I tried to go than it wouldn't go than it jumped forward and it went. I got a little down the road than it slowed down and it was almost like driving in neutral wouldn't pick up speed at all. It stopped moving again than it wouldn't go at all the cops had to help me push it to the side of the road.

The vehicle stalls while in motion, it has stalled 5 times within 10 minutes and I no longer can safely drive it. All occasions were on a city street while braking. The car shows on the dashboard that it is shifting gears even while remaining at one speed and then the system shuts down. It occasionally shifts hard and/or makes an odd noise in the engine.

Takata recall. . I went to galena twice for the same problem. Each time they've told me they fixed the problem. My service park brake comes on and so does the service transmission, it comes on when I start the car and doesn't allow me to shift gears. This is the second time I've had to deal with this problem. I am borderline wanting to go forth with a lawsuit because I fear my life is in danger when I drive this car. But I have no choice. I have three jobs and I'm a full time student so I need transportation that's reliable and I feel like with this car it's fucking far from it.

Was driving my 2013 Chrysler 200 home last night doing 55mph all the sudden my car jumped rpms and started accelerating really quick. I started to break but the car kept going so I had to put the car in nuteral shut it off and coast to the side of the road for a safe place for the tow truck to get the car.

Vehicle is trying to stall out while driving and in sitting position. Always happens right after I re-fuel. It starts jerking, sometimes it is a slight jerk but today it jerked very hard that it really scared me. Also when starting the vehicle it struggles to start up. It will continue to not drive right for a little bit of time and then it goes back to driving fine until I re-fuel again. It started about a month ago and has never stopped since then. I have looked up recalls for this issue and it shows I don't have one. This really needs to be checked out and become a recall.

While driving at a normal speed, the speedometer would go up past 80 or go around where no numbers was. I've took pictures, too it to the dealer, the couldn't find the problem because it wasn't happening at that time. It has happen numerous times & you cant just take it in without an appt or when it happen cause you dont know when it will happen. It happens on the street or highway while in motion. It tesetonce the car is turned off & back on.

My car is sometimes trying to stall out on the highway and rural roads, it looses a good bit of its power. It also makes jerking movements when my foot is steady holding the gas at an even level. Kinda like it would if you were tapping the gas and letting off the gas very quickly.

Takata recall, my Chrysler 200 2015 is having issues where it seems like it's stuck in neutral and doesn't want to accelerate. My car started rumbling pretty intensely I don't even have 80,000 miles on my car and it says my VIN number doesn't match any recalls but everything I've looked up it sounds the same recall the other Chrysler 200 2015 cars had as well. How do I go about getting this fixed?? I was on the freeway and it happened randomly when I went to switch lanes.

My car sometimes revs while going 10 and under, without me pushing the gas. And when I changed gears it slips and jumps.

I replaced the transmission axle harness back iin 2016 when I got the car. But not all of a sudden the abs sensor keeps going out and it comes on and off after replacing it. I replaced it the car was fine then boom its back on. The car speeds up when I just be going 10 miles an hour and I have to slam on my brakes to keep it from going out of control. I almost had two accidents with this issue. And the dealership keeps telling me that recall was fixed but I dont believe it was. My car keeps trying to speed up with me just even pulling off from a parking spot. Its a Chrysler 200 s 2015 . I think this car is horrible and I am stuck with this lemon.

While driving on the interstate the check engine light came on with a message to service transmission. I merged off of the interstate and stopped at a red light and when the light turned green and I tried to accelerate the car wouldn't move and the rpms would just go up. Eventually the car started moving slowly at high rpms with several cars behind me and I pulled over and had to get my car towed.

I was driving as usual in my neighborhood around 40 mph when car rpm started accelerating past 4 rpm when I was at 1rpm. I hit the brakes which didn't seem to work and pulled to the shoulder and put it in park. I started car again and drove 1 mile towards home. Luckily, I didn't travel far. When I started the car again it was accelerating while in park. I had 2 children and an infant in the car. I will never set foot in this car again! normally traffic is heavy, but I was lucky that I didn't hit anyone.
