Tl the contact owns a 2008 Chrysler 300. While driving 25 mph, the vehicle stalled without warning and crashed into a curb. The contact then noticed smoke coming from the passenger side of the vehicle under the hood. The contact also smelled a burning odor within the cabin of the vehicle. The fire department was contacted. The hood was opened and an off duty fireman was able to extinguish flames coming from the alternator. A police report was not filed. The vehicle was not towed. The contact stated that the vehicle remained at the scene awaiting the insurance company to make arrangements to have it towed to Jeep Chrysler Dodge ram fiat of ontario (located at 1202 auto center dr, ontario, CA 91761, (909) 906-7097) for diagnostic testing. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and opened case number: 35164546. The approximate failure mileage was 120,334.
Tl - the contact owns a 2008 Chrysler 300. The contact stated while driving approximately 45 mph the vehicle vehicle experienced a complete loss of power. The contact was able to get the vehicle restated by using a generator. The contact has also stated the vehicle will not turn off when the off position. The vehicle was taken to the dealer however a repair could not get done until the recall parts are available. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number:14v567000 (electrical system) however, the parts to do the repair was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The vehicle failure mileage was not provided. Kh.
