While vehicle is on and running "service air bag system" message randomly appears and disappears when the vehicle is in park or in motion. Service air bag indicator light also illuminates randomly after message is displayed and then goes out after a random amount of time has elapsed. Took vehicle to local Chrysler dealership and they said that it maybe be one of several known issues that they are aware of but no recalls have been issued on any of the possible safety issues that maybe causing the notification. They would not be able to do anything to the vehicle to fix the problem for sure and guarantee the air bags actually will work when needed.

Airbag light has constantly came on, twice I have paid to have have the driver side and they said the passengers side repaired. It has came on again last week, I cannot keep paying to have the same thing fixed.
Just bought a 2012 Chrysler 300 base model about one month ago from a used car dealer. In the past two weeks the airbag light comes on intermitant . It stays on for less than a minute. Once it stayed on for about 5 minutes. It always goes out. Car rides fine. Just wondering if this is a free fix at dealer. It would come on more when driving and when I stop the light would go out shortly after.
The all wheel drive will not work despite having been taking into the dealer three (3) times for diagnosis /servicing since approximately Nov, 2018. The dealer even had it for 10 days while we were on vacation during xmas, 2019 and supposedly couldn't duplicate the problem during the "several" times they tried. In really slick, snowy conditions, the service awd light will come on, but once I've turned the vehicle off and back on, it doesn't come on again until the next slick, snowy event. The dealer's only suggestion is new tires which doesn't help if the front tires won't engage when the vehicle is put into drive. When the awd issue occurs, the vehicle is also difficult to stop when slowing down and difficult to start when taking off. Passenger air bag light came on and off for about 24 hours, then stayed off for 1-2 days. Now it stays on consistently (whether in park or drive). The passenger airbag light has been on consistently since Feb, 2020. This was taken in and repaired for the passenger airbag recall in approximately Jan, 2019.
Tl the contact owns a 2005 Chrysler 300. After the repairs, the air bag warning indicator illuminated and the defroster did not work. The same dealer was contacted and informed the contact that the vehicle would have to be diagnosed to determine the cause of the failure. The vehicle was not taken back to the dealer or an independent mechanic for diagnostic testing or repairs. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 116,540.

Air bag light comes on and goes off when sitting/not sitting on passenger seat. Appears the seat's connection to airbag is faulty. Now the air bag light stays on. Took to dealership previously (soon after purchased) they said something was under the seat messing with airbag cables. Now light appears when nothing is under the seat. Light comes and goes but mostly stays. This happens when driving and sitting in car while warming up. Afraid airbags might deploy because of faulty wiring in seat.

Since purchasing this vehicle on memorial day weekend at Chrysler, little falls NJ of 2014, I have had nothing but issues. From electrical problems, to the airbag issues, to later spending over 1300 in repairing the alternator. Within the 1st few days of the purchase the air bag light came on in which I immediately brought the car in for repair and the mechanic stated that there were no issues found. Unfortunately, it was too late to cancel the purchase, per flo I had signed the contract and cannot cancel the deal. After becoming very frustrated with the continuous issues with the vehicle and lack of customer service, I contacted corporate Chrysler, in which caitlin contacted me and scheduled an appointment with rt1 Chrysler in lawrenceville NJ around 7/2015, in which they stated that the air bag had spliced wires. A few days from taking the vehicle home the air bag light came back on. I contacted caitlin to report that the issue still exist in which she never called me back. I called her for several months. I then took the vehicle to the Chrysler in cherry hill and the one in lumberton, all stated no issues found, even after bringing it in when the alternator went on it. I also brought it in to the Chrysler in lumberton since the car had lost power/engine knocking and they stated nothing was wrong until I brought it back to cherry hill Chrysler and they found that it was engine problems. Corporate Chrysler and all these dealers have continued claiming that they cannot find any airbag issues or when they claim they find something, it has been repaired but yet the problem still exist. Bottom line, all these dealers and corporate Chrysler have continued putting my life, my families life and others in danger. I fear for my life and my families. This car is nothing but a luxury lemon and corporate Chrysler needs to replace the vehicle since they cannot fix it.
