After my vehicle was recalled to replace the air bag inflator; weeks later my air bag light illuminated on the dashboard. Upon diagnosing the illuminated air bag light, local crysler dealership reported that the driver's back bottom seat wiring harness had to be replaced in order to remedy the problem. It was also reported that the issue was not related to the recent recall. Isn't this a manufacturer defect?.

Takata recall. Over 6 months ago, I received safety recall notice (s43/NHTSA 16v-352) regarding airbag inflator rupture issue. I contacted local dealer and was told repair parts had not been received, so repair could not be performed. It is now January 2017. The recall is still incomplete, the remedy is not yet available because the parts are not available. I am concerned for the safety of myself and my family. I would like the passenger airbag inflator to be replaced per the recall.

Upon receiving my letter informing me that parts are now available for recall repairs (r25 air bag inflator housing), I called to make an appointment. I was them informed by the dealer that I would be placed on a waiting list and contacted in approximately 4 months to schedule and appointment as they were only scheduling 4 such repairs a day. As the letter I received indicated such repairs would be performed in a "reasonable time", I believe I am being placed in a position of undue risk for this length of time. This could be remedied simply by increasing mechanics available to the recall projects.

This is a complaint regarding repair of Chrysler's vehicles affected by the r25 driver airbag inflator recall. I have tried for several weeks to schedule my vehicle for repair. I have called multiple dealerships in the state of georgia and the response is the same. There is a long waiting list because the dealerships are out of repair parts and Chrysler has not sent additional repair parts. Chrysler had agreed to comply with the national recall but has sufficiently supplied the dealerships with the parts needed. This cause an negative affect on my ability to drive my vehicle. I now have to limit my use because I am afraid that the driver's airbag may rupture and release metal fragments especially since I live in atlanta which is hot and high in humidity.
Local dealership is not helpful with scheduling time to honor the recall on replacing the air bag inflator.

Driving west on rt 20 in granby CT, passing through intersection on a green light, was struck head-on by another vehicle, both cars were totaled & towed away. On the other drivers' car, all of the air bags deployed, there were no injuries, while on our Chrysler 300, none of the air bags deployed, causing injury to left elbow & right shoulder. Lack of air bags deployment may have been a good thing since we subsequently received a recall notice for the drivers' air bag inflator/detonator defects causing severe injuries & deaths.
I have received recall notification my mail twice this year about the airbag inflator. I have contacted my local dealership more than once about repair and have waited more than six months without result. Each time I call, I'm told parts are not available and I will be called for an appointment when the parts arrive. Six months is an unreasonable amount of time to wait for a repair of a part that could take your life or cause significant bodily injury each time you must drive your vehicle. How many more people are going to be injured before something is done to expedite these repairs?.
I was in an accident with my son as the passenger. We were traveling at 55mph when a vehicle pulled out in front of me. I never hit brake as there was no time. . . We drove through the front of his car. Impact was so hard his radiator was shifted to the left side of his car. My son bore the brunt of the impact as the hit was on the passenger side. None of the air bags went off nor did his seat belt tighten. He hit his shoulder on the side window and cracked it. I know in 2012 and 2014 Chrysler had issues with air bag inflators and seat belt tension devices on the 300 model.
