"takata recall" I have had no accident of any kind! tell you that right off the bat. Reason for this contact is that no one is talking about cars with side impact and side curtain airbags made by takata! I bring this up here because I have not been able to find a place to report this problem to you without having an accident! I have no personal injury either! I do not want one with these takata side airbags either! now that you understand why I am using this site to report this possible problem let me tell you why I am doing this. As I said I have a Chrysler 300 2008 year car that has had both driver and passenger front takata airbags replaced by this recall by Chrysler. Nice job by you for this! still when I bought this Chrysler 300 new it came with the protection group option! the thing that is in this option that is of concern is the fact that it come with the side impact and side curtain airbags! when this car had the takata in the front driver and passenger airbags then it is logical that the factory would have takata side airbags for the side impact and curtain airbags when the car was made! I am the original owner and still the owner of this car! I do not want any takata airbags in this car. Now that takata has filed bankruptcy that make it an even bigger problem! I did contact Chrysler and their dealer. The first time they would not help with telling me if those airbags were made by takata. On the second time the dealer will take one apart to see if it is takata but it would cost $384. 00! one more time no accident now or in the past reason for this contact through this is because I saw no where else to do it. I understood that the government will have to have to reach some number before doing anything for a recall. That is an issue that can show false results. I can say that because side airbags are in smaller numbers that those without bags! recall.

Takata recall - I currently have two recalls on my car. One is for the driver side air bag and the other for the passenger side. I am on a waiting list at the dealership for one of the parts but the other part has not become available yet. The dealership was not able to give me an eta on the part that is supposedly available - only that I have been put on a very long waiting list. I wouldn't be as worried about it if it weren't as dangerous a recall. I have children and only one vehicle. Am I supposed to just drive the car and hope for no accidents until they get the parts they need?.

Driver side airbag recall. Have to wait 2 weeks for an appointment on a year old recall that I just got the letter and says will have my car for 4 hours on a 5 minute job that only has 2 10mm bolts holding the airbag in place and 2 wiring harnesses. Only do work Monday - Friday so we the customers have to take time off work to to get their screw ups fixed.
Takata airbag complaint. The dealer has only replaced the driver side and after repeated attempts (over the course of almost 2 years) has never contacted us to replace the passenger side airbag. The dealer keeps saying that the replacement part(s) is /are unavailable. Also - although we were original owners of this veh, we never received a recall notice. We had to do our own research.

There has been no incident. I'm just concerned about how much more time I have to wait for the driver's side airbag replacement/part. I received my notice on June 22, 2015 and since then there has been no response or other notification. Should I contact the dealerships to see if they have it or just continue to wait for another notice from the NHTSA? really would like to hear from you regarding this matter. I have to drive children to and from daycare and lord knows I don't need anything to happen to me during one of these trips. Just entered date because it was required. Nothing has happened with the airbag at this time.

The car I am writing about is a Chrysler 300c. That car is not an option in the selection. My 300c is equipped with front and side air bags. When the car was hit on the passenger side by a GMC jimmy the front bags deployed but the side ones did not. Shouldn't the side bags have opened as well? that is my concern.
Contact purchased a 2005 Chrysler 300 limited edition sedan on 7-27-05. He drove it home. The next day his wife parked vehicle in the parking lot where she worked. 30 minutes later, the manager of the building called contact wife's office informing her there was a car on fire in the parking lot. Flames came out of the engine block. The car was totally destroyed in less than 24 hours after purchasing it. The car parked next to contact's vehicle was destroyed, as well as 2 or 3 other cars were damaged. He contacted daimler/Chrysler, and they were going to send someone to look at the car. The dealer agreed to give contact a loaner vehicle. Contact did not notice any defect within the car prior to the fire. This was reported to the fire department and police department. Contact had pictures of the car. He said that dealer installed a passive alarm system with an ignition kill, a remote start feature, could start the car without the key. A lo-jack anti theft system was installed. Also, the car included a navigation system, power adjusted gas and brake pedals, self sealing tires, and side/curtain air bags . He purchased a an extended warranty of 7 years,100,00 miles bumper to bumper.
