36 Vehicle Speed Control problem of the 2014 Chrysler 300

Failure Date: 02/15/2017

I purchased my 2014 Chrysler 300c brand new from a Chrysler Dodge and Jeep certified dealership. Since the first day I purchased the vehicle I have been having problems. First started with the rear window shade malfunctioning while driving and front driver seat would not move forward or reverse the same day I bought the car, dealer said they would fix. Took more than two trips to dealer to get the problem resolved. Next at around 6000 miles I had cylinders misfire while driving, took me more than 3 trips to different dealers to get problem resolved. They did not tell me what caused the problem, just fixed it. About a month later I had alot of smoke and burnt smell coming from my engin while driving, dealer said a gasket was missing. I had air coming through driver front and rear doors. Took the car to dealer to get fixed, supposibly they fixed the problem but to this date I'm having the same problem with air coming through doors as I'm driving, now the worse problems are happening. On mid 2016 the rack and pinion gave out. On September of 2016 all my electrical system started to go haywire, windshield wipers on and off by themselves, gauges going up and down, transmission shifting by itself, lights on and off etc, this happend while driving on city streets, we pulled over turned off the car, turned it back on steering wheel was very hard to turn. Took to dealer. They said it was power steering pump. So they replaced. About a month later my wife was driving and the car accelerated to hi rate of speed by itself. After she gained control she drove home. Now 2 days ago we had the same electrical haywire malfunction, this time as all other electrical things that happened as last time the car accelerated by itself, we pulled over to gas station, tried to turn on and car was dead, had check engine light and etc light on. This car has become very dangerous for my family.

42 Vehicle Speed Control problem of the 2012 Chrysler 300

Failure Date: 05/19/2016

Has started visiting a friend in the hospital comma park the car in a parking garage and engage the parking brake. The car was stationary not moving and when I return and disengage the parking brake I noticed my abs and traction control lights are on. I have another issue which I discovered today may 19th 2016 is that when entering the vehicle and starting it everything was normal as I progressed down the road I noticed something a little off and it not wanting to accelerate the rpm seem to be a little jumpy and I check the oil pressure which was really high I turned around immediately and parked the car back at my house. The oil pressure would jump maybe 30 to 40 psi but only reaching 20 miles an hour. I am unaware of what is causing these issues and only discovered it as I was making a turn out of my driveway. I am also unsure of the date that the abs and traction control lights came on but I can say it was before the events on may 19th 2016. My vehicle was purchased February 14th of last year.

43 Vehicle Speed Control problem of the 2012 Chrysler 300

Failure Date: 04/22/2016

While on highway, my radio turned off and vehicle went into battery saving mode. As I proceeded to exit the highway, the interior and exterior lights started to flicker. I went to autozone and the car barely made it there. The car smelled like if something was burning under the hood. One of the attendants checked my battery and said the battery was drained, I had them recharge it. I had to get the car towed since the car was inoperable. I picked up the battery this morning and turned the car on, and all the electrical system started to flicker so I just turned of the car. I read in to the vehicles recalls and I noticed that recall #p6o is exactly what my car was doing last night. I called Chrysler today and they refuse to fix it due to my car not being affected by this recall but it obviously has been. Is there anything that I can do to make my car part of this recall? if so what steps can I take to make this happen? this is a safety issue that could of caused an accident and or multiple accidents since I was on the highway when this issue started, if not for my quick thinking the car could of stalled in the middle of the highway. I should also mention that while the electrical system began to fail it was extremely difficult to brake. On another note, the air bag light turns on and off all the time. I am afraid if we have an accident that the air bags won't deploy.

The contact owns a 2005 Chrysler 300. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 16v352000 (air bags); however, the parts for the repair were unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. While driving approximately 25 mph and attempting to make a left turn, the vehicle would not turn. The vehicle began to accelerate without warning. The contact depressed the brake pedal; however, the brake pedal was locked. The accelerator pedal floored automatically without any contact. The contact attempted to apply the emergency brake; however, it failed. The contact turned the vehicle off and continued to steer until it came to a slow stop. 47 Vehicle Speed Control problem of the 2009 Chrysler 300

Failure Date: 12/26/2015

I have a year with my vehicle and it hasn't gave me any problems until now that the automatic transmission fluid needs to get drained. The gears wont shift correctly. Rpm¿s feel as though they are not rising proportionally to throttle input. Throttle response feels dead in certain instances. Sometimes the car will chirp/spin the tires off the line and the rpm¿s rise quickly, other times you can floor the car off the line and get absolutely nothing. General sluggishness in acceleration -significantly increased drop in rpm between shifts. So I looked it up and I found this article on 300 cars that from the makes 06-10 with rwd models the  42rle transmission uses ¿emcc¿.  the way it is programmed to operate in this 4 speed transmission causes serious drivability issues a torque converterclutch in an automatic transmission will lock/unlock at certain speeds, but the torque converter clutch in the 42rle does not operate as Chrysler describes it in the owner¿s manual. There is alot more people with that same problem so please try to give ower recall complain a look. I love the Chrysler 300 series and would hate to keep going through this on a beautiful car.

49 Vehicle Speed Control problem of the 2005 Chrysler 300

Failure Date: 11/11/2015

My 2005 Chrysler 300 milage 103,269 is having problems decelerating while driving down the road in the middle of traffic. It's been to the Chrysler dealership 3 times now and they said nothing is wrong. When this problem occurs it won't go over 200rpms. I let it set and the next day it'll be fine again until I drive it for a bit. The lighting bolt looking light stsys on. They replaced the throttle body, power control module, module power train control and t/body. $1800. 00 later and the complaining to 3000+ customers at my work I wish I would of never purchased a Chrysler. They are the worst people to deal with. After driving by the dealership on my way to work for two weeks and looking at my car sit I was furious. $750. 00 for a rental for three weeks (a month ago) and now still no car! I've been stuck waiting for a ride, missed work and missed ball games for my kids over this problem. I'm just thankful I've managed to not get into a wreck over this since I've read others have. That's the only thing as a Chrysler owner I'm happy about. Thanks to god!.

54 Vehicle Speed Control problem of the 2006 Chrysler 300

Failure Date: 09/10/2015

After work I was driving home as usuall down a very busy main road with alot of traffic and light controlled intersections. I was about 25 min away from home when I was beginnign to make a lane change and excellerate over to the right lane. As I began to get over without a warning or notice my power steering went out and I was unable to turn my wheel without excessive force. As I continued to cost into the other lane and grab ahold of the steering I realized not only did this shut off but the engine did as well. I guided the car to the safest place I could (still in the middle of the intersection and put the car in park. Hundreds of cars drove by honking and swearing at me leaving me stuck in my vehicle as it was to unsafe to get out. After about 15 min of that streess a helpful older man helped push me to a safer part of the street until my boyfriend could get to me and have the car towed home. After a week and a half and close to 500 later I was called with the news that a cylindar collapsed causing my engine to fail. It would be a 7,000-9,000 repair at the least. The problem with this is that I still owe 13000 on this vehicle and it barely blue books at 10000. So why would I pay the money when I have never had an issue with this vehicle in the 3 years of owning it and had no warning or way to prevent it. I always took my car to a dealer to be maintenced and never missed an oil change so how could this be happening to me. Now I am stuck with a car in front of my house that doesnt work and had to purchase another vehicle in the mean time while I am dealing with trying to make chrylser responsible for this horrible situation. I have done massive research on this issue and learned that this year is already known for this issue and found over 200 compaints with people just like me who this happened to. Please help me to get this repair covered or my car purchased back.

55 Vehicle Speed Control problem of the 2006 Chrysler 300

Failure Date: 08/27/2015

I drive a 2006 300c hemi w/60k miles. I bought this car from a friend. This car has been in this city since 2006. Mid day temps 105'. I was running errands in town. I had stopped at 7 different locations, turned the vehicle off and a few minutes later returned to the car and continued with my errands. I was in the car sitting at a 4 lane intersection waiting for my turn and I looked down at the dash and the oil can light came on, then traffic started to move and I couldn't, my car had stalled. I turned off the a/c unit, the radio and put it in park. I tried 6 or so times to get the car to start but it wouldn't . I engaged my flashers while other drivers were honking and driving around me. I left it in traffic and got to the sidewalk out of danger. I was calling for help when a motorist pulled up behind my car and asked whats wrong. I told him it just died, sitting still waiting for our turn to go thru the intersection. He got in the car that had been sitting there for about 5 minutes and it started right up and he drove it to a safe parking lot. I parked the car in my garage and there it sits. I am afraid to get stranded in traffic again. I did some research on the web and found that Chrysler announced on Feb 13, 2014 Chrysler extends lifetime warranty on 2006, 5. 7 and 6. 1 hemi fuel tanks. Apparently, no one has died yet so it does not quality for a recall but this is a known problem. I would like to know how I can qualify for this warranty?.

60 Vehicle Speed Control problem of the 2013 Chrysler 300

Failure Date: 05/07/2015

I received a notice that my 2013 Chrysler 300 was under a recall for alternator issues. I already had noticed that my vehicle warning lights had flashed the alternator with the lightning bolt twice recently. Then my cruise went out, abs service light came on and stayed on and my traction control light came on and stayed on. The days after I reviewed the recall notice I schedule an appointment to have my car services at carl gregory in savannah GA, off abercorn st. When the service person took my car I identified the issues and he said that he will check it over to include checking the wheel sensors. Noting the wheel sensors specifically, made me a bit suspicious. Later he called me and stated that a wheel sensor went bad and it was not relational to the recall notice. He said he has the part and it would be $187 to fix it. I stated that the notice states that the wheel sensor could be impacted. He said, no sir it reads the module not the sensor and they are not close to each other. I find this technicality not fair to the consumer and I feel that this should be included in the recall. My car has 39k miles on it, is serviced regularly and has never had an issue. I find it hard to believe that the cruise, abs, and traction control going out at the same time has nothing to do with the recall.
