1 Engine Belts And Pulleys problem of the 2006 Chrysler 300C

Failure Date: 12/07/2015

I came out of home depot to a car that wouldn't start this give a jump but we could here something grinding in the motor at first I thought maybe a belt broke or the fan was loose the noise was scary the car wouldn't stay on SC I called for a tow to the dealership. The results were I need a new engine. . The #5 cylinder dropped an intake valve and damaged the engine $9448. I purchase this vehicle brand with 74 miles it now has 78000 all the maintenance was done at the dealership. There was no apparent reason for the engine dying no warning system said ok this car has all the bells and whistles. Now I have a beautiful shell of a car without an engine please someone help me thanks.

2 Engine Belts And Pulleys problem of the 2006 Chrysler 300C

Failure Date: 04/06/2010

My husband was driving on the belt parkway. There was traffic so he had to brake and slow down the vehicle. . Each time he applied the brake it seemed that the motor was losing power. The third time he heard a scraping noise and the motor just died. He had to be towed off the highway. The 2006 Chrysler 300 srt8 had less than 25,000 miles on it. Chrysler refuses to cover the engine damage. Chrysler advised me that water collects in the engine when it rains heavily due to the large size of the engine. My mechanic told me he heard of this also and to him it sounds like a defect that Chrysler should correct. Whoever heard of not being able to drive your car when it rains. Also I never received a renewal for an extended warranty. I assumed I was covered for 5 years.
