1 Engine Knocking Noise problem of the 2007 Chrysler 300C

The contact owns a 2007 Chrysler 300c. While undergoing a state inspection, the technician heard a knocking sound at 900-1000 rpm's. He stated that it may be caused by the piston rods or bearings. The dealer replaced the driver side catalytic converter, but the failure remained. The dealer will replace the short block, but the parts are currently unavailable. The contact was also informed that the transmission may need to be replaced, but this will be confirmed after further diagnosis. The failure mileage was 2,524 and current mileage was 4,320.
