Failure Date: 08/20/2001

Consumer left vehicle in park and ran to open gate, process would take approximately 1 minute. Consumer's back was turned when vehicle started rolling forward. Vehicle bumped consumer, but not enough to be injured. Dealer checked for any problem, but found nothing.

2 Automatic Transmission Park/neutral Start Switch problem of the 1999 Chrysler 300M

Failure Date: 07/18/2000

Car put in park and driver exited car to open garage. Car jumped into gear and crashed into garage door after driver had gotten to garage door. Driver had exited the car and walked at least ten feet before car statrted to move indicating that it jumped into gear after the driver had exited.

3 Automatic Transmission Park/neutral Start Switch problem of the 1999 Chrysler 300M

Failure Date: 06/23/2000

Consumers has a gear shift lock that is considered a safety feature. Consumers son took the gear shift out of park & rolled across the street into a brick wall. Dealer isn't assisting the consumer in this matter & feels the consumer should be at fault. The key is suppose to be turned or started & the foot on the brake before puuled out of gear.
