When fueling the vehicle as soon as the pump pops off indicating your tank is filled gass will sphew/ or spray back out of the vehicle and onto the person fueling, the side of the vehicle and the ground. This happens every single time no matter what fuel station you use, regardless of the time of day or temperature outside. After looking online I can see there have been numerous reports of this from other 2007 Chrysler Aspen owners going back several years; however, I have not been able to locate anything indicating this is a recall and my VIN number indicates all recalls have been addressed on this vehicle. Is there a solution for this issue, is it being repaired by Chrysler or what is being done? please let me know, as this is a safety issue for anyone fueling up , anyone in the vehicle or around the vehicle. I noticed it asks for an approximate date of when this occured, there has been several dates so I will provide the date of the most recent issue.

When filling the gas tank up using the "fill lock" feature on nearly all modern fuel pump nozzles, when the tank gets full the fill nozzle clicks off and about a half a pint of raw fuel is "purged" back out of the tank filler neck. At first I thought this was a problem at a specific fuel station. I have since learned that it can do it anywhere, at any time of day, and at any temperature.
Every time I fill the gas tank, the fuel spills out of the fill tube when it gets full. I have tried putting it in slow but before the nozzle can shut off it blows the fuel back out of the fill tube. This is a substantial amount of fuel which I believe is a serious hazard.

After filling the gas tank, the car will stall out randomly without warning. Stalling out will occur for about 25 to 35 miles. After that the stalling out disappears. This has happen while I was turning which made steering difficult. It also has happen when stopping which cause the braking to become difficult.

When adding fuel, there is a splash back and gasoline spews out and onto who ever is fueling the vehicle. Then when you start the car and drive a few minutes, the car will stall. This vehicle is available for inspection opon request. This issue puts many people in danger. The fueler getting splashed with gasoline, absorbs fuel into their skin, and also the smell of the fumes when entering back into the vehicle. The fueler also now has a very combustible liquid on them. Which is a fire hazard. Also gas spilling is horrible for the enviroment. When stalling, that creates a very hazardous enviroment for everyone in the vehicle, as well as the vehicles around them. A wreck could easily occur because of this issue. The issue has not been inspected by a dealer yet. No warning lamps or messages appeared. And I am uncertain of when the problem began.
My 07 Chrysler Aspen has a huge fuel problem and as I have read it’s happening to a lot of people! when I fill my car up with fuel no matter what store I am at the gas starts spewing back out of the tank. I do not over fill my car the moment the gas pump clicks that it’s done, a lot of gas starts spewing out onto the ground! I believe this is a potential hazardous ?? situation for all involved especially my family! for one I am stressed out about if there were to be an accidental rollover the gas would go everywhere, and 2 when it pours out onto the ground or could even splash out onto my skin I could end up with chemical burns or the bio hazard issue we are having with the gas just being powered onto the ground without me being able to control it! Chrysler doesn’t seem to think this is a problem or that it’s hazardous! but when people go to have the problem fixed they are telling everyone it’s a faulty gas tank and you have to replace the entire tank!! please help us get our cars fixed for something that Chrysler messed up on they should be responsible for the repairs!!.
When refueling, the gas will overflow after just a few seconds (2-3 gallons of fuel added to empty tank). The fuel handle will shut off and only allow a few ml of fuel to be added to the tank. I must refil tank by holding gas handle and allowing only a trickle of fuel into the tank. Even with this slow refil, the fuel often overflows and spills onto the ground (and onto me). This problem began around 120000 miles. This is a continuous, persistent problem. . Read more...
While refueling when the fuel flow stops the first time on the nozzle ( I did not "top off" the tank) appx 1/4 of a gallon of gasoline burps out of the re fueling port when the tank vents.
When putting gas in after removing the pump gas comes spraying out all over whoever is filling up the vehicle on the side of my vehicle and on the ground this is a saftely issue for everyone in the car the vehicle itself and however is filling the car up as well as the gas station that you are filling up at. It happened today and 1 time before that I have had the vehicle less then a month but see its a common issue and spoken about alot online.

The approximate failure mileage was 189,000.
The driver's seatbelts buckle will get stuck when trying to unbuckle your seat belt it will not release. When pumping gas at any gas station when the gas pump shuts off and then it will spray gas out of the fill hole all over the vehicle and onto the ground no matter if you're pumping fuel slow or fast.
Power steering lines touch the drive train. I lost steering control while driving 70 miles an hour. The high side pressure line blew out.
While fueling up the car, the fill neck spits back fuel.
I've been having this truck for a little over 5 months and every time I fill it up it never stops pumping when full. It spits gas out when it is full. I try to watch how many gallons I'm putting in it so I can stop it myself before it gets full but sometimes I don't catch it. It never clicks or stops on its own. I know my truck is 11 yrs old but this shouldn't be happening.
Tl the contact owns a 2007 Chrysler Aspen 4x4. While the contact was adding fuel to the vehicle, it spewed out without warning. 2008 Chrysler Aspen stalls for approximately first 5 miles after refueling. Mil illuminates (codes are for p0455 and p0456) then clears by itself after a few days. After researching, I have discovered that the problem is the orvr valve malfunction, this is documented numerous times on many websites throughout the internet. . Read more...
Vehicle shut off for no apparent reason while entering onto an expressway. Loss of power steering made vehicle difficult to control to safely get onto the shoulder. Sudden loss of speed made the vehicle a further hazard. Once on the shoulder, the vehicle could be physically keyed off, then restarted without issue. Cause of failure is unknown.
When vehicle is filled up with gas, engine will either accelerate, stall out, or lose most of it power. After letting the engine run for more than 20 minutes it will go back to normal. This is a significant safety issue particularly when the engine stalls out with the potential of an accident.
Takata recall has not been changed and ive called several times to get it changed. Also im smelling gas on the inside of my truck and I have a two week old baby.
While drive the vehicle it jerked forward and then stalled loosing power almost causing me to hit the vehicle in front of me and the vehicle in back of me had to swerve in order to avoid hitting my vehicle. The vehicle started up and I proceed to work. After, vehicle would not start, had to be towed 32 miles. Then vehicle to to a chysler dealership after I was notified the feul pump was faulty and had to be replace.
Fuel over fills out of the filler when filling up vehicle was parked at gas pump turned off and overfills everytime filled up.
While pumping gas into the vehicle, it never cut off and sprayed gasoline all over the vehicle as well as myself. It started Feb 2015 and has happened every time I have pumped gas into the vehicle since then.

I was putting gas in the car and all of a sudden, the gas if shooting back on me. I was on my way to work and had to go home and change because I had gas all over me, the car and the ground. I don't have money to dry clean my clothing. It is also a hazard and I am not pleased at all.
When filling with gas, it doesn't stop when it gets full, and gets gas all over me and the vehicle. I have heard many other people who own this vehicle have the same problem, but fiat won't do anything about when people complain.
I just purchased vehicle about a few weeks ago from dealer and every time I fill with gas it over flows and sprays gas everywhere. This is very dangerous and can cause fire or explosion. I don;t know if anybody has been hurt but needs to be looked in to before somebody gets hurt or worse.
At time of fill up, when the pump stops full spews out of the fuel filler neck. It has been this way since we purchased the car and when I brought this to the sales managers attention he played it off as no big deal. He did offer an extended warranty to purchase to have the car "fixed" so it wouldn't spew fuel on the ground or person pumping gas. I find it hard to believe this has not been addressed in a recall.
Whenever I fill up with gas and the pump kicks off roughly about a 1/2 gallon of gas spits back out all over the side of the truck and on me.
When fueling this vehicle it physically sprays approximately 8 ounces of fuel out of the fuel receptacle when the fueling nozzle clicks off. I have found no way to stop it,or control the amount or direction. Anything or anyone near it will get sprayed. This is a serious safety issue that Chrysler must address! we just purchased this vehicle 1/31/2014 so that is the reason for the late filing of this report.
When refueling when the pump clicks off fuel at least a gallon shoots out of refuel opening.
On multiple accounts, gas spits out after fueling. This began approximately around Dec. 2013 and continues to become more aggravating over time as it continues to do this every time I fill up.
I saw where several other people has complaints about when you fill up with gas after the nozzle clicks it sprays gas out, I have had my Aspen a little over a year and it does the same thing, I think that is a defect that Chrysler needs to fix, it is very dangerous for gas to spray out everywhere and it is not just one Aspen that has this problem, it is several.
When refueling the pump shuts off when it is full, but at least a gallon of gasoline sprays out all over the ground and auto. The pump clicks off when it is full, but then the gasoline starts pouring out.
Fuel will spray out of the filler port[not topping off]----this happens every time and should have been a recall issue. Does someone have to die?.
When fueling my 2008 Aspen is complete it does not shut-off and gas spews out all over the car, myself, and everything else. This started about a year ago and then quit, it has since started up again with a vengeance of an explosion of gasoline. I first thought it was the pump, but I have gone to many different stations and there same thing occurs.
