My car started to jerk forward when I would accelerate from a complete stop. I also had to press hard on gas pedal because it would stick a little. Finally took car in and it was a broken motor mount. Not even 6 months later my car started to make a grinding noise and seemed to stick a little when I would accelerate. I took car back to shop and it is another broken motor mount. After speaking with the mechanic I learned that this is a very common problem in the Pacifica, so much so that the motor mount I needed was on backorder for 3 weeks.

I have a 2005 Chrysler Pacifica with 38,000 miles on it. I have been hearing a noise as I accelerate the vehicle. Also the abs light has been coming on. I hear a loud grinding noise. I took it to the dealership. And they are telling me the motor mounts are bad. The mileage on this car is too low to be having motor mount issues. This is predetemination of the motor mounts. They tell me my warranty does not cover this. They said it is a wear and tear item. This is not right Chrysler needs to recall this item. The dealer says the part is not available. It has been on back order since December 08. This is a big problem. I am having to drive this car with bad motor mounts. Chrysler needs to take care of this issue.
