1 Fail To Accelerate problem of the 2017 Chrysler Pacifica

Failure Date: 09/27/2017

The contact owns a 2017 Chrysler Pacifica touring. While attempting to accelerate from a stop, the vehicle failed to accelerate. The throttle and service engine warning indicators illuminated. The contact also mentioned that the vehicle would stall in the middle of the roadway with the same indicators illuminated. The contact would have to pull the vehicle over, turn the engine off, and attempt to exit the vehicle due to a message that read "key fob not detected". The contact stated that this was a handicap adaptive vehicle, so she would have to open the ramp door to exit the vehicle in traffic. When the contact re-entered the vehicle, she had to depress the brake pedal to restart the vehicle to operate it correctly. The vehicle was taken to mobility works, the independent mechanic that made the adaptation to the vehicle, but the failure was unable to be diagnosed. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer for diagnostic testing or repairs. The contact visited reedman toll auto world (1700 east Lincoln highway #101, langhorne, PA 19047, (877) 702-7807) and was informed that mobility works would need to diagnose the failure since they performed the adaptive work. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 200.
