The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The contact stated he inspected the vehicle and the center of the sub frame was rusted out. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired as of yet. The manufacturer had been informed of failure. The failure mileage was 148,000. Dp.

The frame has rusted through. The engine cradle is rusted. Chrysler admits there is a problem but refuses to do anything about it. Chrysler had a recall for this issue and then cancelled the recall. There was also a lawsuit filed, that was dismissed due to Chrysler's bankruptcy.

The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who stated that the front and rear subframe was rusted and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. 2 issues with my 2007 Chrysler Pacifica. 1: the frame is mostly rust. The main problem with my 2007 Chrysler Pacifica is the electrical system. The I have had the battery tested and it is good. The starter was replaced and the car continued to start for two more weeks before it hasn't started since.

The sub-frame has rusted through, my mechanic is concerned about the possibility of the engine falling out if not addressed. Front frame cradle rusted out. Was getting oil changed the garage I took it too brought it to my attention that is was very unsafe.

In addition, the rear passenger's tires protruded outward on an angle, when the brake pedal was applied, due to significant subframe damage. The contact described the rear passenger's side tire as rolling back on itself. On 10/11/18 I took my vehicle to a mechanic for a state inspection and was informed by the mechanic that sub frame was rusted to the point that its unsafe to drive and will not pass inspection. I was advised that there would a be a recall on this and I contacted a Chrysler dealer and I called Chrysler and was told that there was not. Doing research I found that this is a problem with that has been reported hundreds of times. The estimated cost to repair this would be between $2000-$4000 and Chrysler is aware of this very unsafe problem with this car. I was advised that I cannot drive this car anymore due to this issue. I am the sole provider and transportation for three young children and cannot afford to be without this vehicle. I have spoken to a local Chrysler dealer and also spoke to Chrysler customer service about this. The told me that the potential danger would be my engine falling out while driving.

Exessive cradle rot or rust holding ip engine. Makes it unsafe to drive. Can put my hand in frame through rust hole. This was brought to my attention by northgate Chrysler on colerain in cincinnati. The service manage says she sees a lot of this problem.

The cradle and frame is completely rusted out. My motor can drop out any second. It is a hazard to be on the road. I cannot drive it. The car is at a shop.

There have been numerous reports regarding the Chrysler Pacifica having under body frame damage. My mechanic inspected the undercarriage of my vehicle when performing an oil change recently and noticed that both sides of the frame are severely rusted and have holes in them. He advised that it will not be safe for driving in a short period of time. He advised that this is a major safety issue and should be under recall! please advise.

I took my car in for an oil change and the mechanic informed me that the main sub frame was rusted and my car would not pass inspection without this being repaired. I see there is a major problem that Chrysler will not address. I need help.

Within less than 30 days of the contact owning the vehicle, the contact stated that the vehicle jerked and the transmission slowly shifted in and out of gear. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the sensors could be the cause of the failure. The vehicle was also taken back to the dealer it was purchased from and the alternator assembly was replaced; however, the failure recurred. The vehicle was also taken to bergstrom used car super center of appleton (2925 n victory ln, appleton, WI 54913, (920) 749-3232) where it was diagnosed that the frame had extensive rust, holes, and corrosion that could affect the motor, rendering the vehicle unsafe to drive. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was not available.

Front sub-frame has rusted through rendering the vehicle unsafe to drive. This is the exact same failure as many other reports you have received on this vintage, make and model vehicle. Fca has refused to offer any assistance toward the repair and my local mechanic reported that new replacement sub-frames are not even available - leaving consumers with the choice of recycling the vehicle at a salvage yard, repairing it with what is obviously flawed oem components, or keep it as lawn decoration. I have taken the vehicle off the road and am thankful the problem was discovered prior to my wife or son experiencing a catastrophic failure while driving. It is only a matter of time before someone looses a life because of this defect. Be proactive and force fca to repair these failures - regardless of mileage - or this organization is part of the problem.

Sub frame rust, do to Chrysler not correctly coating the subframe on the 2005 Chrysler Pacifica, the sub frame rusts away making the engine unsecured potently causing the engine to drop potently causing a multiple car incident or death.

I gave my daughter my 2004 Chrysler Pacifica so she would have a vehicle that would transport her, her two children ages 7 and 2, her husband and friends, pets and/or others. Her husband is a mechanic and as soon as she got it home he looked it over and refused to let her drive it. He said that the sub-frame was rusted-out and that it was unsafe to drive. After some research into the matter I discovered that what he referred to as a sub-frame was called the "engine cradle" and that this has been a problem with the Pacifica(s). There were service bulletins sent to service centers and that Chrysler acknowledged a problem for the Pacifica built for only a few months. The problem has occurred on many other months and years. The potential for deaths and injuries is a reality! if this engine cradle were to give way at slow speeds there would probably only be injuries to the occupants, unless another vehicle were involved in which case more injuries and death could occur. If the engine cradle were to fail at highway speeds and the engine hit the highway I can envision an end-over-end crash that would likely kill the occupants. If there were other vehicles involved there is no telling how many injuries and deaths there may be. I don't know if this has happened yet and if so how many times and to what severities, but my daughter, my grandchildren and son-in-law are not going to be victims. I seriously hope that it does not take the loss of life or lives to have this potentially deadly problem addressed and corrected. The cost of the repair is higher than the worth of the vehicle and the manufacturer must absorb the cost the repair.

A few months ago, I noticed a shaking in the steering wheel of my 2005 Chrysler Pacifica. It seemed to became much worse, very quickly, to the point of where I could barely hold the car straight, so I took it in this week for a brake inspection. The problem isn't the brakes at all. . The entire unibody frame and engine carriage have completely rusted and deteriorated!! the mechanic told me that the vehicle wasn't safe to even drive home! he was able to push his finger through the carriage, and said that the engine is about to fall out onto the ground! both axels are also rusted almost completely off. It's horrible! I am attaching pictures. . . . And, as it turns out, Chrysler knows about this Pacifica rust issue! I decided to search the internet for "2005 Chrysler Pacifica rust", and it isn't just my car! Chrysler knows that I, and so many others, are out here driving our babies around in vehicles with rusted out frames that could snap at any second!!! (ie. Chrysler initially issued recall of 2004-05 Pacifica, citing potential unibody rust. . Later rescinded the offer. ) (NHTSA [as early as oct 2004] 10008424, 10044109, 10045080, 10010501. . . ) (class-action lawsuit filed in 2014 against Chrysler by Pacifica owners. Took my 2005 Chrysler Pacifica into the mechanic for front end noise. The mechanic discovered that my sub frame is rusted out. The mechanic is concerned that my engine could fall out.

2006 Pacifica with 105,000 miles. Took in for service and mechanic found badly corroded engine cradle. I can peel the rust away and put my fingers in the holes and gaps in the center support tie in. In addition to stress cracks in the lh side of the engine support. Dealer told me no warranty coverage, no recall. Cant afford repair and car is unsafe to drive. Frame rusted out after only 11 years old!! what happened to "made in America" stood for quality and being a good thing.

A-frame on car has rusted out which at any time could snap cause the transmission and engine to drop which will cause the right passenger wheel axle and bearing to break and snap off which is a hazard. Also emergency parking break has rusted out of nowhere and fell into the drum of back wheel and rubs causing a hazard and loud noise. , Chrysler could not explain why either one of these things happened when neither are being used and the car was purchased certified new used from dealer 5yers ago. All of this was discovered while driving and I heard a snap and a rattling sound while driving and decided to take it to a shop and they found the bigger problem.

Has taken to state inspection and they said there's rust. Didn't think of it as a big issue until I read the hazards of rusting frame on the engine could drop the engine while driving. Now not driving it. It had a tire rod repaired last year and still went out this year. It might be due to corrosion. A lot of electronic problems too. Felt like wasted my money every year keeping this vehicle in shape. This state also likes selling these types of vehicle so they can juice folks money every year for inspections and repair. They put salt on the ground every winter that eats up the frames of the vehicle.

My vehicle has failed new hampshire state safety inspection because of sub frame rust. I am told that this could result in a failure that could cause the vehicle to suddenly loose handling ability or loss of the engine motor-mounts ability to hold the engine in the vehicle. This has been estimated to be a very costly repair. My concern is that premature failure has cost me harm to either drive the car because I like it or even to trade it because of this unexpected failure.

Subframe nearly rusted through at welds. Frame has almost no rust, but again, subframe so rusted car is unsafe to drive. I dont know what else can explain except something was missed in production. Researching online I have found that to be a frequent problem with this vehicle. Rust was found while performing oil change. There hasnt been an accident but the subframe that holds the engine is rusting through so I dont want to drive and find my engine on the ground.
