Took a short drive. Turned off the vehicle. After a couple minutes smoke and flames were coming out of the hood. Grabbed a fire extinguisher opened the hood and put out the fire on the passenger side. The air filter housing was melted. Embers were still spreading along the insulation attached to the hood. Manually removed the spreading embers with some tools. Not sure the cause. Also why is the insulation made of a material that is not fireproof?.

I called the dealer regarding another issue with my vehicle. I was told that there are 2 open recalls and had to wait 2 months to get the service appointment. The recalls are for a manual park release and the cruise control. This is very alarming and very dangerous. I called Chrysler corporation and was told that there is nothing that I can do and need to wait the 2 months. This vehicle is a hazard to the road! I do not feel comfortable driving an unsafe vehicle for 2 months!.

While driving down the road my vehicle experienced complete loss of power. I had to manually steer it to the side of the road. After several minutes it restarted and ran fine. This happened right at 6000 miles and again at 6973 miles, same scenario with both. The doors and radio is also acting odd. I beleive there is some sort of electrical issue. Both times before the vehicle powered down I was going 70 +miles an hour, heat came all the way on and power shut down. My star # is 1728582. Chrysler told me maybe I was driving to fast???? vehicle us only 3 months old. Dealership confirmed they had another Pacifica in the shop for the same reason.

Right sliding door does not close on own. It stalls out and has to be manually closed. This problem started in October 2017 and continues to the present.
My concern is with Chrysler's fcw system. The system does not work as described in their owner¿s manual both in city and highway driving. Specifically it does not detect, no matter the selectable settings, that my vehicle is approaching a car ahead dangerously. The system is supposed to warn with sound, display, and brake nudge. According to Chrysler, the system will only work as described if I am approaching the vehicle head unsafely with my foot still pressing the gas. However, even with my foot still pressing the gas peddle, the system will not respond with any of the warnings. I have reported my concern to the dealer and Chrysler customer service. Chrysler customer service and the dealer said that they cannot do anything about my complaint since there are no trouble service codes logged in the vehicle. The acc system works as described in the owner¿s manual. The fcw system uses many of the acc system without the auto braking feature. The fcw system should work, but it doesn¿t. The system in my vehicle is useless since it does not do what it is intended to do which is to mitigate a collision by alerting an inattentive driver.
