1 Transmission Not Go Into Gear problem of the 2017 Chrysler Pacifica

Failure Date: 08/10/2019

We were driving in marrietta GA around 11am in heavy traffic, when my wife stared to accelerate the transmission shifted hard,(I thought we got rear ended),my wife's car would not shift gears,so we are doing 30mph in heavy traffic trying to get off the road safely with our kids in the car,so we finally got off the road, got out to check the car,in Chrysler & Dodge newer models you cannot check transmission level because of sealed dip stick,so I googled the problem, their was tons of reviews of this problem from Chrysler Pacifica owners, Chrysler said it was normal from the reviews, this can't be normal, please check into this before some one gets killed ,(2017 Chrysler Pacifica) thanks david.

2 Transmission Not Go Into Gear problem of the 2018 Chrysler Pacifica

Failure Date: 02/26/2019

Vehicle was briefly stopped in traffic at a light with electronic start-stop engaged. When foot was removed from the brake, the engine started back up momentarily then sputtered to a stop. The engine start/stop button and shift knob were unresponsive (could not shift gears). Neutral override cord was pulled, but ineffective because electronic parking brake still seemed to be engaged. The vehicle could not be moved out of traffic into a safe location and had to be towed to dealership. Heating and power windows turned off as well, and possibly the hazard lights were ineffective (unsure because it was unsafe to leave the vehicle and check).

3 Transmission Not Go Into Gear problem of the 2017 Chrysler Pacifica

Failure Date: 08/18/2017

The vehicle suddenly appeared to shift into neutral, while still in "drive", going approximately 40 mph. The accelerator was completely unresponsive and driver was unable to shift into another gear. The vehicle repeatedly said "not in park" while in park, showed the reverse camera while in drive, and would not accelerate when in drive. Fortunately the driver noticed the check engine light had come on and was pulling into a gas station when the unresponsive accelerator occurred, otherwise a collision would most definitely have happened.

5 Transmission Not Go Into Gear problem of the 2005 Chrysler Pacifica

Failure Date: 07/21/2010

I own a 2005 Chrysler Pacifica and it is stuck in park, and has been for a week now. It will start up, and you can hear the shifter click when you step on the brake, but you cannot move the shifter stick to put it in another gear. It will go over to park, but cannot get the shifter to come down to put it in gear. I have told the Chrysler company about the defect, but they are not willing to do anything about it. I have went online and read numerous complaints about Chrysler vehicles getting stuck in park, and people are manually going under the hood to pull the brake out of park. This is a safety feature that in order to move the vehicle, you have to have your foot on the brake to put it in gear. Without this safety feature in place, a vehicle could roll into the street, or if a child is left alone in the vehicle, they could easily put it in gear. This is dangerous because I am more than sure, people are not taking the vehicle to a dealer to have this safety feature put back in place, once they get it unstuck. People have been stranded because their vehicle got stuck in park. This is something that should have a recall and Chrysler needs to fix this problem. To see the complaints, google this my Chrysler is stuck in park.
