I was driving down the highway and my rear right window flew off while going 55 mph. This is extremely unsafe! I had no idea the window was only glued on! I am curious if there are other people who have had this issue and what can be done.
In April 2012 my air conditioner started turning to warm air while waiting at a traffic light and acting as if it wanted to cut off. I took it to the dealer they couldn't find anything wrong. On August 6, 2012 I returned to the dealer with same problem, I was told there was a leak in the line, and if more problems bring it back. On August 8th the air conditioner not only turned warm the car cut off. As long as I'm running steady on the highway it works fine. I actually have to turn the air off at traffic lights or not run it at all around the city,I returned again to the dealer to no avail. I went on line to just answer today, Chrysler expert informing me that possibly the electric cooling fan needs replacing which is common in Pt Cruiser. I am concerned it will cause more problems to my car.

I was driving my 06 Pt Cruiser down the freeway at 65mph when I heard a whistling sound. I looked in my review mirror is time to see the rear quarter stationary window fly off and bounce across the lanes. Luckily it missed the cars behind me. It was like the other descriptions form NHTSA #07v-149. The recall ended with 6t230885 manufactured 9/1/05. My car was manufactured at the same plant, and was manufactured in 10/05. I believe that it and others need to be included in the recall.

We have a 2001 Chrysler Pt Cruiser. While driving on a freeway, the rear left wing window fell out and was run over by the vehicle following us. Fortunately, no one was hurt but it could have caused a serious accident. There is a recall on the 2005 model for this very problem (07v149000). Our local dealer told us to take up the issue of repair with Chrysler, which we did, and they replied that they would not honor the recall for our model year, even though it is exactly the same problem. Therefore, I want to file a complaint so that the official record shows that the same problem does indeed exist in earlier models.

I have a 2006 Chrysler Pt Cruiser convertible. In cold weather the drop down windows do not drop. This makes it impossible to open the passenger and driver doors. When this happens the door windows will not allow door to open. After pulling and forcing the door open it will then not seal or close. It has been happening and I took it to dealer and they 'fixed' it. It is still doing this and they deny knowing what is wrong. I found a recall but no one can stop the issue. My car door integrity is being compromised.
Sun visor drops to full downward position, obscuring wiew of road. Dealer replaced part.

The instrument panel on the p. T. Cruiser is almost invisible, and is an accident waiting to happen. It requires that one take his attention off the road to read any of the gauges, except when the sun is shining directly on the panel, or in the deep dark of night (not twilight).
