The contact changed the wiper fuse per the owner's manual; however, the failure recurred. The vehicle was not taken to a mechanic for diagnostic testing due to the rainy weather conditions. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who installed a switch and new motor but the remedy failed to fix the problem. The dealer stated that the totally integrated body module needed to be replaced. The plastic used for the windshield washer nozzles on the Chrysler Pt Cruiser gt model is not correct for the application, in that the extra heat under the hood from the turbo charger causes the plastic to become weak and crumble, which results in windshield washer fluid leaking down on top of an electrical panel located on the firewall of the drivers side of the vehicle, which ultimately results in a safety hazard.
