1 Power Train Driveline problem of the 2005 Chrysler Sebring

Failure Date: 09/09/2008

Had a major oil leak. Thought it might be a cracked oil filter. Took it in to local shop and found out it was a failure in the crank case seal. They said it was caused by excessive vibration in the engine. They said it was caused by an unacceptable variance in the drive shaft causing excessive pressure on the seal. The vehicle only has 60,000 miles on it and we change the oil regularly. The shop checked and found several other like problems with the Sebring over the past several months in identifix. Com. This cost me $675. 00 and only fixed the oil leak. The major issue with the drive shaft isn't fixed. The vehicle hasn't been in an accidents to cause any internal problems that are my fault. I think Chrysler should help with these costs to the owners that have incurred these excessive costs.
