I was driving my car and fault something wrong with the steering and went to make a right turn I heard a noise and my car front passenger side of my car was on the ground and my wheel was under my car. Thank goodness for no one else being involved that day and thank god I wasn't hurt badly. . . I have never seen or have anything like that to happen to me. . . I'm glad my children wasn't with me. . . I'm glad I wasn't traveling down the road when that happened. . . . .
While driving down the road the Lexus it locks the steering wheel to keep it from moving at all broke almost causing me to have an accident when making the turn it will not pass safety inspection now because of the broken piece inside the steering column that’s where I was going to get it the safety inspection for our state when it broke. I’m not sure exactly what it broke but this is a safety issue. I uploaded a picture but a video would probably be better but I couldn’t send it attach that I can send you one if you would like please respond to me and let me know.

The horn on my 2005 Sebring will randomly sound and will not stop until the steering wheel is beat upon or violently shaken up and down. The horn does not work on it's own as a safety feature. It will happen at any given time, while driving or sitting parked. In order to avoid this, the horn must be disconnected.

I was not informed of a recall and me and my son were in the vehicle driving and it started hopping almost as if it had hydraulic. I told my son to fasten his seat belt considering we were just leaving the store and pulling onto a busy highway. It continued to wable and I sped up to get off the hwy and then hen the jumping real high and hard began I was going maybe 45 mph and the axle or ballpoint had snapped causing the car wheel to lock up and cause me to run in the ditch luckily no one was harmed but we were very interested much so shaken up. . I had no issue out of that tire or ball joint before and I am needing to know what I need to do to start my investigation. . . Me and my son are happy no one was injured too bad.

As I drive my Sebring, every dip, hole or crevasse my car hits(going 30 and up its dangerous) sends it way to the side, doesn't have an exact side either. Does it both ways. I believe it has something to do with my lower ball joints so possibly my control arms and I was told it was possible that this specific car had issues with the control arms. The way the car drives right now is seriously dangerous and I was just curious if this car did actually have a recall or a manufacturer defect.

My car shut down completely as I was driving, the steering wasn't working, I couldn't turn the wheels at all. The breaks would not work either, no matter how hard I pressed on the breaks the pedal would not move. Luckily I wasn't going fast or driving on the highway cause that would have killed me.
Airbag light on, horn and cruise control stopped working, found out its the clock spring, had trouble steering the car at one point, found that a part broke the clock spring and got lodged in the steering components, happened during a turn onto a street.

Drivers seat moves when coming to stop, air bag light comes on and off and will stay on at times seat belt dont retract.
When driving in the rain and going through puddles of water the steering will go out. Within minutes the battery light will come on. I doubt it is my battery because it is only a year old. The only way I am able to gain the power steering back is by pulling over turning vehicle off and restart. This has been very dangerous at times because it has happened a few times when I actually turning in a curve or a parking spot. I have almost wrecked numerous times scaring me and my teenage boys.
I was driving and my vehicle started over heating and then wouldn't run. I have put w gone coolant in it several time. The radiator hose top part is completely busted. Needing a new head gasket, and whole top radiator hose now. On top of that the power steering hose is messed up also. My car window also doesn't work. It's stuck rolled down because of an electrical problem. I want it all fixed ASAP. I can't afford the fix. I am a single pregnant mother who has several appointments to get to and from between my daughter and I. Just going to the store for food has almost been impossible. We have to rely on others to help us. I need my car out the shop. Please help.
Igination issues my steering wheel locks on me. I have to sit for at least 5 mins before I can turn the key to start my car. As in driving my car acts as if it wants to stop while driving.

Takata recall:I was involved with a collision. I was crossing a two lane highway that was southbound, and I was going westbound crossing the other vehicle hit my front passenger side, both the passenger and the driver airbags deployed. I was in the car alone. When the plastic steering wheel cover partially popped off, and the airbag came out, the plastic cover cut my right hand 3rd finger, 80% severed the tendon and chipped the bone. Had to be surgically repaired. Date of the accident was 8/29/2016. That was my right hand. My left hand was bruised and scratched. Due to the accident, the car is not repairable. Incident #16fl099929.
Takata recall my concerns of accidental discharge, the dash light stays on longer than should.

My 2008 chyrsler seabring engine stop on highway and steering wheel lock. The reason why is a chyrsler defected part (tipm) which is total intergrated power module. Chyrsler have a lawsuit on them about this problem. My car is at the dealer for repair. Cost $1100. 00 which I have to pay. This problem should be fix for free under recall. Also horn blowing, door window moving , trunk opening, interior light not coming on. It would help I you could contact the dealer concerning my issue. Steering became hard to control. When I turned the steering wheel to the left, a noise and the front right wheel was sideways therefore unable to drive. I just missed getting t-boned. . . Scared to death. I see 3 different recalls listed for the make and model year. Per Chrysler, per my VIN, my car was not included in the recall. I find it very interesting that what happened to me is exactly what the recall description reads.
Thhe stearing will lock up and belt will sqeel even when the belt is tight got worse till line blew wide open not good when having kids thank god not in car when it happen. Almost lost it. This is not a normal thing ive looked alot up on this.
The contact owns a 2006 Chrysler Sebring. While driving 8 mph, the ball stud separated from the socket of the ball joint housing which caused the control arm to collapse and the wheel to fold in. As a result, the power steering seized. The vehicle was taken to a dealer. The technician diagnosed there was a catastrophic failure of the ball stud. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 115,000.
Turned corner at less than mph and heard a thunk and car slammed to sudden and complete stop sending my son and I flying forward toward windshield. Got out of car and tire was completely sideways and control arm on ground. Scary thing is we were 1 corner away from being on frwy going 60 mph and if that would've happened I dont see us getting out of that alive. The car dead stopped when that happened. At 65 mph that would have either flipped us or sent us flying thru windshield. Was told my VIN not on recall list yet the exact same thing happened that almost could have killed us if we turned that corner and went on frwy. Unacceptable for front tire and arm to just fall off.
The vehicle started making noise while turning the wheels from front corner.
The contact owns a 2006 Chrysler Sebring. Upon making a turn, there was a loud noise coming from the front end of the vehicle and the steering wheel. The contact stated that the failure recurred intermittently. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, who diagnosed that the front control arm and ball joints deteriorated. As a result, the ball joints and the cvc joints needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The vehicle was not included in NHTSA campaign number: 09e056000 (suspension). The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was unavailable.
The contact owns a 2005 Chrysler Sebring convertible. While driving approximately 45 mph, the vehicle was unstable on the road and suddenly spun out of control. The contact crashed into a guardrail and stopped facing in the opposite direction of traffic. None of the air bags deployed. There were no injuries. The vehicle was towed by the insurance company. The manufacturer sent an independent investigator who stated that the air bags were not faulty based upon the speed and location of impact. The independent investigator and the manufacturer provided no specific diagnosis on why the air bags did not deploy and sent a letter with a response. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The vehicle was not included in NHTSA campaign numbers: 10e059000 (suspension), 09e056000 (suspension), 04v579000 (steering), and 15v338000 (air bags). The failure mileage was not available.
My throttle control light as well as my check engine light came on in my car. I called the dealership and they told me it was safe to drive and it was due to cold weather. They made an appt. For me to come in a week later. A few days after I called them about the lights being on in my car I was pulling out of a convenient store into on coming traffic with my daughter in the car on a busy road, I was going to turn right when my steering wheel locked up as well as the breaks and cars were coming at us at 40mph. My car kept rolling into the other lane of traffic. I had to pull the e-break to try to stop rolling. I blocked traffic and could not move my car. When I put it in reverse and drive nothing happened. The police had to be called because I was in the middle of traffic. I had my car towed and I was told my battery caused the problem. The lights are now off on the dash but my breaks seem to be pushing up when I press down. Not sure what this means but I don't feel the battery was the problem.

The contact also stated that she was worried that her air bags are probably inoperable as well. The vehicle was taken to a independent mechanic where it was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 150,000. Ec.
I knew about an active recall on control arms for this make/model car, yet when I called the dealership they claimed my VIN was not associated with any recalls. Soon after, my car started to make noise and the control arm/ball joint failed causing damage to my car while driving and almost causing accident.
Driving on I-91 , vermont at 65 mph when car suddenly surged and lost control /o warning able to stop on side of road w/o hitting other vehicles ( traffic light). Replacement part federal mogul , ball joint, control arm assembly.
Me and my kids was leaving our house and driving down the street I rode about 5miles and then my car start to swirl then it was hard for me to steer. So I got out the car and notice my front tire had went in. And I had to have a tow truck take my car back to the house. And come to find out the ball joint had broke. But before all of this I had never receive no recall to bring my car in to get this check and I'm doing research and it states that they have had a recall on this but I never receive no information. To fix this problem. This could have been the end of me and my kids lives if I had been on the highway.
This car is a death trap and needs to be investigated. Car will lose all power, steering, and brakes while traveling at speeds up to 55mph. This is very dangerous and I almost killed myself because of this issue. I have taken the car to 3 mechanics and they cannot diagnose the problem. Chrysler won't even return my calls regarding the issue, which I've researched and found hundreds of others with this same problem. This is a huge safety hazard and Chrysler should take responsibility for whatever it is that is causing this to happen. I'm wondering if I can take legal action against them. This is absolutely unacceptable.
My 2004 Chrysler Sebring lt stalled out on me in the middle of in intersection in a left turn lane. Could not get car restarted immediately and was in heavy traffic. Once I had restarted the vehicle I moved over to the shoulder where it happened again, and this also happened in a parking lot. This is dangerous. If stall would have happened 2 seconds later I would've been t-boned by a pickup truck. Upon stall the car engaged the e-brake and also lit up the following warning lights : engaged ebrake, oil, battery, and engine.
