While driving on the highway at 60 mph rear right tire blew out from the inside. This resulted in consumer losing control of the vehicle. Then, vehicle went off the highway and rolled onto a field. Vehicle was towed to a mechanic,who determined that the tire was defective.

The consumers vehicle was taken to a goodyear service center because it appeared that two of the tires had a slow leak, after inspection it was noted that only one tire had a leak and the dealer resealed the tire around the rim, the next day while driving the consumer noticed that the vehicle was pulling to the right while driving and later that day the consumer went to check on the tire and found that it went flat, the vehicle was taken back to the service center where no problems could be found and the tire was remounted on the vehicle, later that evening while driving the tire blew out causing vehicle to pull violently to the left. On October 16, 2001 the car had a blowout on the right rear passsenger side. Upon taking the tire to discount tire, they stated the tire was faulty and blew from within, and would return the tire to the company. Then on November 6, 2001, the second tire blew on the right rear side again, on an interstate at 60mph, this time the car rocked back and forth then spun around three times before coming to a stop next to the concrete wall facing oncoming taffic. The tow truck was called and they changed the tire, stating the tire had excellent tread and there were no holes or etc, but the tire had blow from within around entire back of the tire and the rim was destroyed.
