2 Tire problem of the 2000 Chrysler Sebring

Failure Date: 10/23/2015

Took my car in 10/23/15 to have the tires rotated and was told by the shop I needed new tires that they were almost bald and the thread indicators were showing on all 4. My tires had only 20k miles on them and the warranty was for 60k miles. Shop said they would contact falken tires and call me back. Falken jerked the shop around for over a week passing him from dept. To dept. Red flag!!!! in the meantime I checked w/ several other shops and in online forums and reviews. All said they had they're tires wear out in 6-8 months or more. The shops said because of the wear problems they wouldn't sell them and falken had shortened the warranty to 40k and 5 years. Many submitted claims and were denied 2 or 3 times. The shop was told by falken for me to buy new tires and they'd reimburse me if they found a problem w/ the tires. Am disabled on a fixed income and can't do this. What good is a warranty if the company is going to ignore you? I don't trust falken the company or the brand based on their deception and not recalling a defective product based on many many problems. These are falken ziex 912's size 205/65/r15. Things remain right at a stalemate, but I have sent a letter to the falken ceo.

6 Tire problem of the 2001 Chrysler Sebring

Failure Date: 04/01/2004

Purchased four dunlop sp sport a2 tires for 2001 Chrysler Sebring convertible, size p205/60hr16, from tirerack. After installation, car had a severe vibration and steering wobble above 45 mph. Installer, hub cap heaven in cary, nc, reinstalled four times in attempt to bring all tires into adjustment with regard to road force, including one tire being replaced by tirerack. Car would be ok for four to eight hours, and then tires would begin to vibrate strongly again. Sent by tirerack and dunlop to local goodyear dealer to verify, and two tires were considered definitely defective and one borderline. This means three out of the five tires would not stay in round after installation, and one or both of the remaining are likely to go out of round after driving for a while. Still pursuing adjustment with tirerack. Currently have all four tires installed on car.

7 Tire problem of the 1998 Chrysler Sebring

Failure Date: 07/31/2003

I purchased precept touring tires at discount tire in July. I have had to have 10 of them replaced since that time. They are terrible tires and I have wasted not only a considerable amount of money but time as well. Every last one of them has a bad spot in it--they have all vibrated--and my car has perfect alignment. I even had everything checked out by my own mechanic after several trips to discount. My mechanic said he refuses to sell goodyear because they have had so many problems with the tires. A mechanic from sam's club said the same thing--don't buy goodyear. I only wish I had known this before I purchased the tires; the consumer products websites don't have this information. . . Yet. Am not even sure the tires are safe. 11 Tire problem of the 1998 Chrysler Sebring

Failure Date: 08/30/2001

While drive from philadelphia PA to linthicum, MD on I-95, my driver's side tire - which is 6 weeks old - blew out. My tire was not improperly inflated nor was I approaching or exceeding the manufacturer's recommended speed rating. Having to cross 4 lanes of traffic to safety, during rush hour on an interstate was more than hazardous, however I was able to control the vehicle preventing injury to myself, my passenger, or other commuters. I contacted the dealer where the tire was purchased who informed me that I had no recourse through their establishment or the manufacturer. This doesn't seem to be a legitimate statement considering that this type of defect endangers so many lives. Please investiage this incident and advise me what other course of action is available. (tiresize: p215/55r16).

17 Tire problem of the 1998 Chrysler Sebring

While driving 50 mph and without warning right side front tire exploded.

18 Tire problem of the 1998 Chrysler Sebring

Since purchasing my Sebring in may '98 I have had 6 flat tires. I have never had a flat before. After speaking with other Sebring owners it seems there could be a fault in the soft aluminum wheels. I have just had my second flat in the past 2 weeks and am afraid to get into the car. This is happening on 3 of my wheels, not just the same one. Usually it is a slow leak. I work for the airlines and I am out of the country quite a bit. This makes it even more strange as I probably drive half the miles of anyone else. Since purchasing the car from another person in may '98 I have driven only 15,000 miles. What should I do? thanks. (dot number: ? tiresize: oep215/50r).

19 Tire problem of the 1999 Chrysler Sebring

I have had repeated problems with the tires. Due to poor construction I have been forced to repeatedly purchase new tires. My first incident occurred a year and a half after purchase of the vehicle. Within the 45 m. P. H. Area the tire exploded and ruined the aluminum rim completely. I immediately took the wheel and tire to a nearby hibdon tire center where they checked the tire and concluded it was faulty. They explained to me the tire's steel belt had shifted casuing it to tear out the side wall of the tire which caused it to "blowout. " now more recently, my original three tires have also shifted steel belts. Two of these three have began to reveal side wall tearing. I have looked for other brands of tires which may solve the problem , but since the tire size (p215-50-r17) is so rare, I have had no luck. The orignal tire sytle (goodyear eagle rs-a) is also quite expensive, but being the only correct sized tire I have no choice but to purchase the problem tires to replace all three original tires. (tiresize: p215-50r17)( dot number: tire size: p215-50r17 ).

20 Tire problem of the 1996 Chrysler Sebring

2 catistophic flats due to sudden loss of air when driving at highway speeds( dot number: ).
