Went out to start van to go to work and headlights would not come on. Had to call in to work and miss a whole days work. First time it has happened. We have only one vehicle and the mechanic cannot check it out until a week from today. Need a vehicle to get to work or I will lose my job and I am the sole provider of the family of 4.

2005 Dodge Caravan headlights turn off while driving. On 3 occasions in one night my headlights turned off while driving on the hwy. On two occasions they came right back on. The third time I had to turn the lights off and back on to get them to come on. 2001 Caravan headlight problem. Faulty fcm (bad connections) this is a very serious problem that seems to be getting ignored by everyone especially Chrysler. This issue needs to be put on the front burner before someone gets seriously hurt or killed in a crash. Headlights going out in the middle of the nite on the highway going 60 mph is dangerous. Please look into a recall on these vehicles. The fcm connections are faulty. Multiple people and mechanics have discovered where the problem is and has fixed them by readjusting connecter pins or tabs in the connection and this has corrected the problem. Even canada knows of the problem. Also these people have been getting soaked 1000s of $$$ in repairs (Chrysler) leading to the same problem coming back. I have been having a problem with my headlights on my '05 Dodge Caravan. I never know if they are going to work or not. This happens almost everyday that I have to fight with my lights to come on. My mechanic thinks it maybe the body control module because I have been having trouble with my dash lighting and gauges and my remote entry.

Both original front headlight assembly's on the 2000 Dodge grand Caravan are clouded to the point that the headlight illumination may be compromised. This seems to be a result of the plastic not being able to handle the uv (sun). The rear lighting assemblies are fine.

2005 Dodge Caravan, headlights just go out a night for no reason. Also at times, when you turn the headlights on they do not come on. Other times when you turn them off they do not turn off unless you turn them on and off a few times. This started about 7 months ago, now it is becoming a real safety issue. I contacted Dodge and they advised me to bring the vehicle in for evaluation and they will run diagnostic tests or I can just have the switch replaced. They advised me that this does not happen often with this vehicle.

My headlights would not work together. The left one only would work on high beam and the right one only worked on low beam. I found the connector between the front control module and the fuse box to be corroded. I made a temporary fix by cleaning up the connection. I've read on the internet that many people with 2001 and 2002 Dodge Caravans are experiencing the same problem. I know that the NHTSA had investigated this issue in 2006 and I believe that this issue warrants further action by you.

The headlights on our 2001 Dodge grand Caravan alternate working so only one is on at a time. Then all of a sudden they both will work for a day or so then it will go back to just one working. This makes it hard to see at night and we have gotten pulled over by the police and given a warning. I have tried replacing bulbs but it didn't fix the problem.

I own a 2001 Dodge Caravan equipped with daytime running lights. During operation only the driver side daytime running light comes on. When headlights turned on, only passenger side headlight comes on. Only one headlight works at any time. Not enough light to see while driving. It is a constant.

2005 Dodge Caravan headlamp assemblies cracking for no apparent reason, I bought a preowned Caravan, with 35k and the head lamps started to crack. I contacted the local Dodge dealership and they gave me the number for the manufacture help line. I received no assistance, due to being out of warranty. I have only had the van for 3 months it is not at 40k and I feel that as an auto tech this issue should not have accrued in such a short time on a vehicle that is only 2 years old.

Headlight housing on 1997 Dodge se grand Caravan. The plastic lens of the headlight housing in which the headlight bulb is encased has discolored, thereby, obscuring the light generated by the headlight bulb. This has occurred on both the right and left headlight housings. I have surveyed other minivans of the same vintage and noticed they too were discolored. It concerned me so much that I purchased two new headlight housings from off the internet (not mopar). There is probably a safety factor with this defect.

2002 Dodge Caravan headlights periodically go off, sometimes staying off for 15-20 seconds. Not related to acceleration, bumps or stops. Affects both headlights simultaneously. Very scary!! especially on interstate and heavy traffic. Also, cars pull over because they think I'm flashing deliberately.
