Engine Noise problems of the 2006 Dodge Charger

Tamara recall. . . . On August 31st I went to the bank and when I came out the bank the car turned on and start making noise I need turn off right away I could not turn it back on I have it towed to my house I check on the internet for what happened to me and it seems that there's many many people that have the same problem I went to the dealership talk to somebody where the mechanic places and they tell me that they have experienced a lot of these problems that is kind of common on this kind of cars especially for that year 2006 so it seems like Dodge knows what's going on but nothing has been done yet I will appreciate it if you could get help to fix my car has less than a hundred thousand miles and it's just sitting on my driveway.

We had no warning (e. I. Engine light not lit, not running hot, no strange sounds, etc. ). The car died so when it wouldn't start up after trying for a second time, we towed it to the dealership after hours. The next morning we get a call saying that the valve seat guide failed and and the pistons weren't getting any oil in the 4th cylinder of the motor. So the motor needs to be replaced and it's gonna $8000. It's been sitting at the dealership going on three months. With all these complaints about the same thing, Dodge should be doing something about this. This is unacceptable Dodge! I have been researching this every since my car malfunctioned. Dodge/diamler Chrysler needs to be sued! I am waiting for a class action law-suit to be announced-.

Driving my 2006 Charger daytona with my toddler from lunch, going to to get gas, and then go home. My Charger engine died while driving. It started but sounded different. I pushed into a parking lot. I thought maybe I ran out of gas. But no gas light was on just an engine light & a lightning bolt now. I put a couple of gallons of gas just to be sure. I started the car. The engine sounded like a rattling and died out again. I left the key in the on to make sure fuel got to the injectors. Started again very briefly same noise then it never started again. Towed it home. Lifted the plastic engine cover found a large hole and three inner engine parts (one was a spring, possible parts to a rod) that had blown out of the hole. I keep my Charger up to date with care and maintenance. I had no performance issues or warning lights prior to this happening. I called the dealer and the service center told me he has never heard of such thing, he wasn't a "tech", and whoever did my last oil change "probably didn't do it right".

Car drove perfectly fine I stopped at family dolla for 5 minutes came out car would not start heard a engine noise towed it home mechanic said he pulled the plugs they were bent from the piston hitting it also the piston had a hole in it I need s new engine no warning sighns or nuthn mechanic says he sees this very often on 06 Chargers.

My Dodge Charger will shut off intermittently. I've spent money going to mechanics and the dealership and no one knows whets causing it. The dealership made me sound as if I was lieing or crazy. It wasn't until my boss told me today he saw it on the news today (I've been complaining about it for months now) I decided to file a complaint to let you know it is happening to my car.

Was driving to my office and didn't get any warning and the car engine sounded real bad and once I got to my office to park it it killed . Had to get someone to help me move the car out the middle of the parking lot and had to call a tow service to tow it to the shop and found out the engine failure. Now I only had over 100k and they said the motor have to be replaced!! the piston hit the head and piston arm shattered and it cause my engine to fail!! now my car is park in the yard because of the cost of a new motor!!! I tried to see with Dodge but the motor I have is on back order . So to me it seemed it should be recalled because of all the stories I read online with people having the same problems with motor failure of the 06 Charger 5. 7 hemi.
