I received a safety recall for my state highway patrol car. When I took it to my local dealer they would not work on it and stated they didn't know anything about it. 2 of my other partners had the same problem with the same dealership. I contacted another dealership 50 miles away and they had the recall fixed the next day. My other 2 partners went to this dealership 50 miles away and had the recall fixed quickly also. This local dealership also has not performed 1 other bulletin on this same patrol car which resulted in the item being fixed by a dealership in another state.

Transmission shift hard from 1st to second gear every morning. Loud enough to hear inside and outside of car. Dealer says there is no fix ofr this problem, and it could be on all the new 2008 v6 Chargers. They have failed to tell the public this information. And failed to fix my Charger. It has been in the shop twice in 3 weeks.
I bought my 08 Charger 3. 5l v6 in Jan of 08. Only weeks after I noticed that it shifts hard on the very first shift of the day when it goes from 1st to 2nd. After that it shifts fine. I have had it to the shop 3 times. Twice they uploaded a new computer program. It didn't help. The last time they claim to have replaced all of the seals in the transmission. That didn't fix it either. I have just given up nut I am considering filing a lemon law claim. Figured with them being in the trouble they are it wouldn't really get me anywhere. Nice car overall, just poor power train!.
I purchased a 2006 Dodge Charger brand new in March 2006. Ever since then there has been problems. I have taken the car to the local Dodge dealership where the car was purchased. I had been experiencing problems with the brakes not stopping and squeaking and the fact that I could be accelerating up to about 20-30mph and the car would not go any further. The car is showing signs of transmission problems. These problems lead me to the dealership which was where the car was purchased. The service department said I needed brake pads and nothing else was wrong, which I got brake pads from a different business. The car still continues to do the same thing with the problems with the transmission and the brakes. I see there was no results with going to the dealer so I contacted the corporate Chrysler customer assistance # and they advised me to take the car back for a diagnosis, I advised them that I previously done that and there was nothing found. They told me there was nothing they could do because the dealer would need to recognize the problem.

2007 Dodge Charger. Stuck in park. Seems to be a common problem.
The contact owns a 2006 Dodge Charger. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the vehicle would suddenly decelerate and would not accelerate past 40 mph. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that the transmission needed to be repaired. The vehicle was repaired but the defect had recurred. The manufacturer was not notified of the defect. The failure mileage was 33,000.
Squeaky brakes, transmission not shifting properly.
