Front Driver Side Air Bag Inflator Problems of Dodge Charger

Tl-the contact owns a 2013 Dodge Charger. The contact received a recall notification on NHTSA campaign number: 18v021000 (air bags) and taken the vehicle to capital Chrysler Dodge Jeep ram of indian trail dealer, (5501 w hwy 74, monroe, nc 28110) where the recall repair was completed however, the air bag warning light illuminated and was take back to the same dealer where the contact was informed that the inflator had nothing to do with the air bag warning light illuminating, it was due to the wiring mechanics under the passenger seat. The contact was also advise to drive the vehicle 70 miles for the computer to reset hit self. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 154,532. Aw.

The software programmed into the powertrain control module cause a momentary lock up of the drive wheels if the vehicle is traveling over 40 mph and the operator shifts from drive to neutral and back to drive. The vehicle was in motion on a city street, highway and when I do turns. Also the driver and front passenger airbag are inflator.

My car, Dodge Charger 08 has a recall since July of 2016 for the passenger airbag that the inflator may rupture which can cause metal fragments to be released throughout the car during a crash and cause other injury. I don't feel safe driving my car during this as I have a child and don't want them hurt during the possible case of an accident causing the airbag to deploy. The recall still hasn't been fixed, 8 months later, even though there is a government recall for it.

Takata recall fca has yet to repair my airbag inflators as of 19 March 2017 in response to takata passenger airbag recall s43 issued on 26 may 2016. This is an unacceptable amount of time to wait given the severity of the issue.

I have recalls for airbag inflator and also alternator. I have been to the dealership many times in kuwait and yet they are telling me there is no parts. I do not wish to be a victim of neglection by Dodge. Please help us here in kuwait. Accelerating causes burn smell from alternator and the garages (outside dealshership) have told me there is a recalls in regards with faulty alternators. Please help.

The vehicle is currently under a recall, dated July 01, 2016�namely, s43 / NHTSA 16v-352 (the �recall�). The safety recall notice informs that �a defect� is present in the vehicle: "the front passenger airbag inflator may rupture, due to excessive internal pressure, during normal airbag deployment events. This condition is more likely to occur if your vehicle has been exposed to high levels of absolute humidity for extended periods of time. An inflator rupture may result in metal fragments striking the vehicle occupants resulting in serious injury or death. " due to the �defect� described in the recall, it is intolerably unsafe for any person to ride in the vehicle's front passenger seat. While it is not necessarily likely that the vehicle would experience an airbag deployment event during any given drive, the potential consequences�serious injury or death�are so severe that the risk cannot be taken. The above-described �defect� should have been remedied immediately, but the safety recall notice informs that �[p]arts required to provide a permanent remedy for the condition are not currently available. � according to recall. Mopar. Com, repair parts are still not available as of the date of this complaint, which is almost a full year later. How can it be that I am unable to use my passenger seat for almost a whole year already without any redress or consequence?.

Passenger airbag inflator they have not release the parts to my dealer and I received notification in may 2016.

Takata recall- having trouble getting my dealership to repair my airbag inflator. I called spartanburg Chrysler Jeep Dodge in spartanburg, SC, to be told that they did not have the part needed to repair my vehicle and they had no idea when they would get one. I asked if they could order it, and the response was, "no, they just send them to us randomly. We never know when we might get one. Call back in a week or two and maybe we will have one by then. " I need this repair done now. The dealership is 1 hour away so I need to schedule it on a day off. That day would be next Monday, January 18. Don't know what to do!!! help!.

I received a recall in the mail saying the "the driver airbag inflator housing may rupture". I called my local dealer and they told me there are an est. 400 recalls in front of me and can not tell me when they can get to it. The person said that the parts needed for the recall are coming in 4 to 6 at a time so she could not tell when they could get back to me.

Was issued a safety recall for the driver airbag inflator housing. Have attempted to get problem fixed with local dealer, champaign Chrysler Dodge Jeep, and have been told that parts were unavailable and that I would be placed on a waiting list to be called when they became available. First called July 21st, 2015. Have called multiple times and been told the same thing every time with slight variations of timing for parts to arrive. Nothing has been done as of today, January 4th, 2016.

I received an safety recall notice in the mail for my driver airbag inflator housing, that will rupture. I call don jackson Dodge dealer in jonesboro GA. Made an appointment for July 15 2015 at 9am. They tell me they dont have the part and that they will put me on a list and call me when they get the part. Well its been a month now. Today is August 20,2015 I just called them back today. I am not on a list for this part and the lady I talk to couldnt pull my name up in the system. So technically they erase all my information from their system. Now im worried something may happen while im driving the car wirh my air bag. This was not a professionally thing to do. What should I do now?.

Chrysler corporation is giving us no updates as to when the proper parts will be ready for immediate service. . . . This is highly unacceptable! the daily anxiety they are putting consumers through is ridiculous. They tell us don't drive the car if you are concerned but we have to use these vehicles to drive to work etc. . . Please try to find out where they are in solving these critical problems ! I have asked both the local dealer and the national Chrysler corp and neither will provide an answer!.
