2 Transmission Slip Out Of Gear problem of the 2007 Dodge Charger

Failure Date: 05/07/2011

The shift assembly that allows the car to go from park to drive has broken. Called Dodge and asked about a recall and they stated one has been issued but not for my car due to the time frame it was built. So no recall for my car. This is a major safety hazards cause it could slip out of gear or the brakes could fell or who knows else will happen. I need this fixed and not to happy with Dodge due to they wont issue a recall for my car when I can look on the internet and find other cases just like mine and same year and make and model.

3 Transmission Slip Out Of Gear problem of the 2006 Dodge Charger

Failure Date: 02/19/2007

Well yesterday evening. I was merging onto the interstate and all of a sudden the transmission slipped and the car was just revving while still in drive. If there were any oncoming traffic I could off gotten into an accident. I don't drive the car hard, definitely don't race. Why would something happen like this? it is pretty much a brand new car which I keep up the scheduled maintenance. Is there going to be a recall on this equipment because this could cause serious accident. I've read a few different forums on this vehicle and there are others that are having the same problem of the transmission slipping out of gear or hesitating to go into gear. So this isn't just a one time thing. I lost some of the pride in having this certain vehicle. From my knowledge the same transmission were offered in the older e class Mercedes Benz and they too had similar problem.
