Brake calipers locked up and over extended l rear hardware fallen into drum and damaged shoes & contaminated brake fluid. Just had the rotors and pads done less than 6 months ago.

Tl - the contact owns a 2006 Dodge Dakota. The contact stated that the driver side brakes were making a loud noise and smoke started emitting out of the wheel well. The contact also mentioned that she had to replaced the vehicles calipers several time. The vehicle was taken to the mechanic who stated that the calipers were defective as a result the calipers, rotors, brake pad and break line. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure who did not offer any assistance. The vehicle was repaired. The failure mileage was 92,000 and the current mileage was 146,000. Pm.

While driving, a loud noise was heard coming from the front end of the vehicle. Upon having the vehicle inspected, the mechanic determined that the ball joints needed to be replaced. The ball joint were worn. The upper and lower joints were loose and noisy, and the front brakes had rusted.
