Dt the consumer put new tires on the vehicle on September 17,2005 when they took the wheels off and saw that the tires were wearing out on the inside , just on one tire, the left front tire. The tire had rubbed on the rim of the vehicle, consumer took the vehicle to the local dealer, they said it had a bad bearing on the left front of the vehicle, and they replaced the bearing. Now , it was rubbing on the shock absorber mount and plate. It was doing the same thing again. The dealer said there should just be a certain type of tire on the vehicle.
On June 29, 2005 rear passenger's side tire belts separated from the tire. Then, around September 1, 2005 the driver's rear tire blew out. A goodyear representative inspected the tires and said they might be defective tires. Goodyear was only offering to give a discount, and gave a percentage, but were not willing replace the other three tires. On the front tires the ring around these tires split. The recommended tire pressure was forty-four pounds, these tires were regularly serviced. There was no for warning, no vibration, and no type of abnormal bulging.
A loud noise came from the rear of the vehicle, and vehicle shook uncontrollably. Driver pulled over, and noticed that the right rear passenger tire tread separated from the wheel, and the tire damaged the under carriage of the truck. Driver was able to change the tire, and took it to the dealership. Mechanic claimed that a cause could not be determined at this time. Daytona radial 31q05r. 15lt .

Within one month of each other, each of my two front firestone tires went flat. The treads were shreaded and coming loose from the tire. One of these events occured while driving on a freeway. There were no warning signs and tires had been recently checked for tread depth, balance and inflation.

Goodyear rt/s 235-85r16 tires, load range e (factory tires). Tires are wearing prematurely and falling apart. First tire, passenger front, had early stages tread seperation at 18,592 miles-replaced tire. Other 6 tires wearing unevenly, with visable damage to steel belts in sidewalls at 22,683 miles. Multiple bulges and indentations in sidewalls. 2 tires mildly warped in rear. All tires at 80 psi per goodyear tire dealers' directions. 40,000 mile wearout warranty-useless as none of the goodyear distributers in fairbanks, alaska will warranty factory installed tires. I still have 6 of the 7 factory installed tires, and witnesses who saw or examined the 7th tire (with tread seperation). I have been forced to park my Dodge 3500. I intend to replace these tires with cooper discoverer s/t tires when I have funds available. Am considering legal action!!!!!!.

The right rear tire had a blowout while driving 70 mph ( original equipment, tire size p265/70r16, dot# 25. 4 0ffset).
Uneven wear of front tires. Tires wear on the inside of tread. This has occured since I purchased the vehicle new. I have had the tires balance/roatated and aligned every 10 to 15,000 miles with the same tread wear results each time. Dodge will not help me to remedy this situation. I feel my truck is defective and I do not feel safe driving this truck. Can someone please help me!!.
While traveling on I-10 westbound, just west of tallahassee FL, the tread suddenly separated from my left rear tire, causing me to lose control for a few seconds. Because there was no other traffic nearby, and I didn't use my brakes to slow down, damage was confined to my left rear fender and wheel well. My speed was around 75 mph, the highway was straight, my tire pressure was 32 psi (cold). I wasn't sure what had happened, but when the thumping on the undercarriage of my truck stopped, I checked behind me and saw a tire tread belt on the highway. Not sure if it was my own, or already on the highway, using a lower rate of speed, I proceeded to the next rest area, (37 miles), where I verified what had happened. Unable to break loose the lug nuts, I proceeded to the nearest exit where I could have the tire changed, (about 20 miles?) driving 50-55 mph. This tire is a firestone atx ii, size 215/75r/15, one of a pair I had purchased as replacement tires on 08/19/99. I had inquired four times since the recall had begun in 2000 through 2001, about having them replaced but was told this size was not on the list. On the last try, the tire dealer tried to convince me that firestone had never made such a tire, until I asked him to check his records for August of 1999! my truck: 1996 Dodge Dakota sport, mileage: 87000. VIN # 1bfl26xotw700488. Tires: atx ii size 215/75r15, miles 38,000, dot# w2------. I am in the process of contacting a firestone dealership or the firestone CO. Consumer line.
