1 Power Window problem of the 2003 Dodge Durango

Failure Date: 01/01/2009

Both front electric windows in our 2003 Dodge Durango stopped working. As soon as I paid to have one window replaced; the other window failed. The passenger front window came down as I was driving over a bridge in a rainstorm. The rain pelted my children who were riding in their carseats in the next row of seats. As soon as I got off the bridge, I turned onto an exit and waited out the rain at a gas station. I still have not replaced the window. I have it braced up with a rubber screw driver; at least it is up now.

2 Power Window problem of the 2002 Dodge Durango

Failure Date: 02/08/2008

I purchased my 2002 Durango in August 2007 with under 74k miles on it. About 6 months later, my husband and I found that the passenger front window would not respond to the master control or the passenger's control. The dealer couldn't get it to happen again. We worried about it at the time, having newly moved to oregon where winters are usually very rainy. Thankfully, we haven't had any further trouble.

3 Power Window problem of the 2003 Dodge Durango

Failure Date: 04/28/2007

On 4/2/07, I had the driver side window regulator replaced. It broke while driving down the road, not in use at the time. On 4/28/07 it was replaced again. On 7/7/07 it was replaced again. On 7/23/07 it was replaced again. On 8/20/07 it broke again. This is an oem part, not an after market. I've spoken with several mechanics who said this is definitely a Dodge issue. What do I do?.

4 Power Window problem of the 2003 Dodge Durango

Failure Date: 04/02/2007

In 2. 5 years, I have put in 5 window regulators using original Dodge parts in my 2003 Dodge Durango. A 6th one broke 10/13/09. This part is defective in that it breaks irregardless of usage, today a rear window broke which has maybe been used a dozen times since I purchased the vehicle. The driver's window was replaced three times within 60 days, because the brand new parts broke. Dodge is well aware of this issue, because of the constant back order within their parts department and frequent consumer complaints well documented on the internet. Their paraphrased response to my complaint was too bad it's out of warranty.

7 Power Window problem of the 2002 Dodge Durango

Failure Date: 05/13/2006

My 2002 Dodge Durango purchase new in Feb. 2002, and had driven for about 3 1/2 years the passenger windows fail to work. The master control is the only way that I can open the windows. Now on occasion the window will intermittently open and close using the individual switches but it is very seldom have talked to several other owners of these Durangos and they have been having the same problem, would like to know if this is a manufacture defect or is it possible that just suddenly all my passenger window broke at the same time. Other than that I have been very satisfied with the service of the vehicle. I have had it since I purchased it in 2002 and it has only 35,000 miles on it. It doesn't seem that a vehicle with that little use would have a problem of this sort. Thanks, diane.

19 Power Window problem of the 2001 Dodge Durango

Failure Date: 09/15/2003

About 35,000 miles I had the adjusters repaired on the passenger front of vehicle. Around 60,000 miles the adjusters failed and the seat will jerk forward about an inch while doing any acceleration, then slide back about an inch. Somewhere around 70,000 miles the front drivers seat started rocking back and forth, like it was not bolted to the floor boards properly. I have power seats. I took my Durango in to have it looked at, at the dealership. I was told that they have seen a couple of vehicles with this same problem recently, and I was lucky mine would only cost 1,300 dollars to repair. Other bigger vehicles cost more. Is there a recall on this problem, and why is it happening so often in my vehicle, when it should not happen at all. Why so much money? why is a safety factor not part of warranty. I have always had power seats, this is the first time they ever failed. Not once, but twice.

26 Power Window problem of the 1999 Dodge Durango

Failure Date: 01/15/2001

The left front power window has failed 4 times, the right front window has failed 2 times and each of the back windows have failed once. The first time the window failed was 3 months after vehicle purchase. Since then the vehicle has been in for window repair at 6 months after purchase, 14 months after purchase and now with the latest trip 22 months after purchase. At the last visit the dealer required us to pay $175 for the repair of all four windows. Although our vehicle is over its milage for warranty I believe in a case such as this where there is an obvious problem with a particular part we should have had this repair done free of charge regardless of warranty. In your opinion, do I have any grounds for this complaint. Thank you for your time. Angela pruitt.
