The contact owns a 2018 Dodge Durango. While driving in the rain, the sun roof and windshield leaked. The leaks caused the vehicle to shut off in the middle of a parking lot since the star connector was affected. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic and repaired, but the parts that were replaced were unknown. The contact stated that the failure recurred and the vehicle was taken back to the independent mechanic. Sealant was placed in the leak areas; however, after heavy rain, the vehicle shut off again due to water entering the vehicle. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired for the most recent failure. An unknown local dealer called the contact and stated that, per the manufacturer, the windshield needed to be replaced in order to repair the vehicle. All four windows have fallen down and would not go up.
First incident was with family in car. We heard a loud pop, like a ballon popping, turned around and noticed that the right rear window had shattered with no evidence of impact with an outside object. The second incident occured while the vehicle was turned off and parked. Again a loud pop and the rear window shattered with pieces falling into the truck as we drove home. In conjunction with the two incidents the truck also when driven at 45 - 50 mph with driver or rear passengers window down causes painful pressure.
