That slow speeds when you back up or pull forward and the wheels hit a little bit of resistance, everything goes off on the vehicle, wipers do not work, says the adaptive traction control needs service, it says emergency braking service goes out, turn signals do not work, we have been to Dodge. They say they know about this, but there’s no recalls and they tell us they cannot fix it unless it has an active code and as soon as you cut it off, apparently it’s not an active code, although they’re still stored in the system we have a video of showing what happens when it does it sometimes when we just start the car, it will not even go into gear and every hazard light pops up on the dashboard, again wipers will not work, will not go into gear says the traction control is not working. Breaking system is not working, etc. . I tried uploading the video, but it will not allow a video upload while traveling at speed, the speedometer says you’re running 0 mph, you can’t even tell how fast you’re going.

Rear light has known issue of water protruding into housing causing a short circuit to occur, therefore causing tail light to quit working including license plate lights to quit working causing me to be pulled over when for equipment not operating to find out then my lights had shorted out. Then to find out to get my license plate light in working order I need to spend 1500+ dollars for a design flaw that Dodge is still manufacturing. The people of the united states need your help getting this fixed.

The blinker arm at the steering wheel has broken internally to where its useless taking my high beams, turn signals, wipers and everything else they put on it to not function properly. When I asked the dealership for a repair quote I was told the part is on back order due to high demand. When I looked at third party dealers the same issues no one has this part. I could see if this was a older car but if their blinker arm is breaking so much they can't keep a part in stock or tell you when it van be available should a safety concern. Also their design makes the blinker arm replacement 850 for part and 600 for labor. This shows poor design and poor craftsmanship in their parts.
Sunroof spontaneously shattered while driving. The shatter was accompanied by a very loud noise. Dealer has been contacted and the sunroof will be replaced under warranty.

The moonroof of the car spontaneously exploded as we were driving down the interstate. There was no incident that caused this. . . Nothing struck our car, we did not go over any bumps or anything like that. There was a very loud explosion sound and the glass shattered into hundreds of pieces. Thank god we had the sunshade closed at the time. Our children were riding in the second row and would have had glass fly at them at 75 miles an hour. It was an incredibly scary incident. We looked this up and it seems to be a known problem with many cars with moonroofs, yet no one seems to be doing anything about it. This glass needs to be tempered like the windshield! we are in the process of getting it repaired at the dealership yet. They are not taking any responsibility for it being a defect and are charging us the full amount to have it replaced. $1600. I.

My power locks and windshield wiper fluid pump stopped working. I took the vehicle to the nearest dealership over an hour away. After many days and an expensive car rental, the tipm needed replacing. After researching this issue, it is directly correlated to a dangerous issue that resulted in a lawsuit in 2015. Additionally, the recall associated with the tipm is not fixable at this point because Dodge doesn't have parts. So, the tipm I was given in this repair is dangerous. This was a $1067 repair for a vehicle that has 80k miles.
Cracked windshield 5 months after purchase and again 11 months after purchase. Both times in the same location along the bottom over the top of the VIN number plate. Refer to mc-10187012-9999.
Been losing power to the car while driving which cause me to lose my steering ability and the 4 wheel drive keeps kicking on and off while driving plus the wiper motor works sometimes and sometimes it don’t. The navigation system comes on and off whenever it wants to and the rear end keeps popping.

The window cowl has deteriorated and causing lots of road noise- it has been going on for a while but just now figured out the issue. There are a lot of complaints surrounding this- if this ultimately fails it can cause leakage to the brake master cylinder or other damage from water.

While driving at highway speed without warning multiple error messages were displayed followed by instrument cluster shutting off completely. Windshield wipers started without command. Turn signals and lights would not work. Functions slowly started to return however traction control remained disabled.
November 30, 2019, my husband and I were driving on the interstate, it was 34 degrees outside and we had the defrost and heat on low setting {1}. Then a sound like a gunshot, then cold air coming from the roof and could hear glass bouncing around. We pulled over. Saw what had happened and couldn't figure out how. No one was even around us when it happened so nothing hit it. Then looking closer, could see that the glass was raised a bit and the seals surrounding it were lifted in a few places. The sunroof exploded outward.

July 14, 2019 - while the Dodge Durango is in motion, the dash display suddenly went blank, various sensor lights turned on, transmission gear would not shift, and the wiper blades intermittently turned on. Similarly problem was experienced in may 2019, when the repair shop identified and replaced a faulty bcm (body control module). I took the vehicle to a local Dodge dealership about a month ( June 2019), for the same problem and the dealership identified the wiring harness to be faulty. After some diagnosis, the dealership reset the codes, asked me to drive the vehicle some more to see if the problem reoccurs. It has been a month since I took the vehicle to the dealership and the problem has reoccured several times. I feel this is a real safety issues especially when I have my kids in the car and the electrical issues arises while the vehicle is in motion. This problem is very concerning to me as the problem has occured one time while I was driving on the highway, and three time while driving on city streets. Please investigate this matter urgently as I consider this issue to be a serious vehicle problem or hazard. Any Durango owner and their family could potentially get seriously hurt.
The cowl has warped allowing rain water to leake into the engine compartment. And under windshield. And while driving air getting under windshield is creating a buzzing noise. While I was at Dodge I noticed on the newer model Dodge Durango they have redesigned the cowl. I have talked with Chrysler customer care they have opened up a case. (casr number 64813561).

The tail gate tail light gets water inside every time I was my car or every time it rains. This causes the tail light not to be fully visible.
Rear backup lamp light bar assembly is leaking water. Water visibly observed in light bar and causing led's to fade. Had it resealed by dealership continued to leak and now light bar has completely failed and no longer turns on, this is a major safety concern as well due to license plate light no longer functioning as well. Vehicle is scheduled to go in for repairs regarding a failed light bar and safety issue.

The dash board will light up and the windsheld wipers will start to go with out doing anything, then the dashboard fails and powers down and then tries to start back up. It caused my Durango to lose power then power back up. I do have a video that I will try to include please excuse the language in it.
The sunroof glass on our 2015 Durango exploded outward without warning. The environmental factor was normal, driving condition was normal. The vehicle was in motion on a highway but no other vehicle or external objects were involved.
27,300 miles and I have water pooling inside my led tracks of my tail lights. This is potentially going to cause the lights to short out and possibly blow fuses. This needs to be remedied by manufacturer being this is a very common issue.
Wild shield wipers are not effective during heavy rain. Steering wheel makes noise while turning. Breaks are not good quality.
I've notice that when I'm driving on highways or around the city, wipers come on by itself. That happen twice. . . Sometimes the sunroof don't open, when the sunroof opens don't want to close sometimes. When I'm on the highway can't seem to get enough power to catch up with traffic, seems like the transmission is about to give out. Very laggy. . . . The notification for engine/trans comes off/on at times. Other to sound weird but I believe someone has access remotely to vehicle. All this happens on a daily or every few days I've noticed.
Driving home from a family trip 220 miles away my 2011 Durango dash lights and gages went haywire flickering on and off, windows would not roll down, ac went out but heat was blowing, loud high pitch sound came from the engine, radio went out, wipers going on full speed and could not turn them off. Finally we lost power steering, parked and the car shook bad as we turned it off. Went to turn on and nothing it wouldn't start. Aaa came out said alternator was toast, replaced that then it said battery was dead,( couldnt even get the vehicle in neutral to tow), so replaced that. Was able to drive for about 3 miles and it started all over again but this time a bad smell (burning smell) came from under the passengers seat, battery was making a sound and was extremely hot! I had my 3 little kids in the car with me and this thing could have blown so we had it towed! it has 79000 miles on it, never had an issue, and just had the recall done about 2 weeks prior that supposedly prevents this! the dealership has it now. Ive just dumped $700+ and it didnt even fix it! this could have caused a serious accident for my family and others or worse caught on fire with us in it! this was my first Dodge and will be my last especially if Dodge does nothing to fix this!.
This issue happens randomly: vehicle is parked: power door locks do not work you have to manually unlock all doors, vehicles starts fine but "service 4x4" appears on the cluster, all dome lights stay on, cluster lights (gage's etc. ) do not light up, no exterior lights work (I. E headlights, parking lights, brake and so on). Vehicle will not return to normal state until I disconnect the battery and reconnect. It has happened multiple times on different days. Sometimes it will happen within a day of each instant, other times it will go a month and then do it again.

While driving, all warning lights suddenly came on dashboard. Vehicle then stopped in the middle of the highway. Something overheated, because I could smell something burning under the hood. I could not get the vehicle to start again or even put it in neutral. I had to call a tow truck. There is a p60 recall for this type vehicle that describes exactly what is going on with mine. The recall as of now is for alternator with 160 amps and I have 180 amps. This too needs to be added to the recall because of safety issues.
Repeated electrical failures at start up. Sept 8 2014- electrical failure at start engine light on, stabilization light on, turn signal non-operational, unable to access the milage/temperature menu/computer, windshield wiper active even though the switch was in the off position. Result: one week in the shop and the steering control module was replaced. - Dec 23- left tail light burnt out and was replaced -Jan 15 2015- second electrical failure at start engine light on, stabilization light on, turn signal non-operational, unable to access the milage/temperature menu/computer, windshield wiper active even though the switch was in the off position. Result: one week in the shop and the steering control module was replaced. April 1 2015- third electrical failure at start engine light on, stabilization light on, turn signal non-operational, unable to access the milage/temperature menu/computer, windshield wiper active even though the switch was in the off position. The dealer kept the car for a week and claimed there was "nothing wrong" with the car. Then I called corporate and was sent over to the resolution team. They arranged for me to drop off the car for testing on April 14. I picked up the car on may 15- they claim there were no fixes were made and that they "couldn't replicate the problem". Feb 3 2017- fourth electrical failure at start engine light on, stabilization light on, turn signal non-operational, unable to access the milage/temperature menu/computer, windshield wiper active even though the switch was in the off position. The dealer said it was a blown fuse but they do not know what is causing this short to happen repeatedly.
As I was driving home, all of the dash warning/service lights came on. At the same time, my turn signals, brake lights, windshield wipers, hazard lights, and all gauges malfunctioned. I believe this to be an issue with the "front control module".
