38 Seat Belt problem of the 2015 Dodge Durango

Failure Date: 01/23/2022

First noticed the seat belt not retracting completely on the driver seat. When buckled the seatbelt feels loose and when unbuckling it has to be physically moved to the side to be able to exit vehicle. This issue has started happening on the front passenger seat as well. Upon looking to see if something was in the way of it retracting the plastics on both sides appears cracked. Vehicle will be taken into dealership to be inspected. I question the effectiveness during an accident if the plastic was to give away if the seatbelt would somehow be compromised.

39 Seat Belt problem of the 2021 Dodge Durango

Failure Date: 01/20/2022

Unknown reason for failure. The driver side and passenger side seat belts will not retract and do not get tight. This is very dangerous!!!! there are thousands of Durango owners dealing with the same problem. This should be recalled immediately! it will not be good if someone were in an accident and departed from the vehicle because the seat belts weren't working properly!.

40 Seat Belt problem of the 2014 Dodge Durango

Failure Date: 01/05/2022

The driver’s seatbelt will not retract. Should I get into an accident or need to slam on my brakes, by seatbelt will not lock in place as it should. Due to this malfunction. This is a serious safety issue! seatbelts are suppose to save lives, but how can it, if it’s not working properly?!?!? I contacted Chrysler/Dodge regarding this, they told me there was no recall. Which is shocking, since there have been other complaints regarding the same issue. I was told to have it diagnosed by a car dealership then it would be fixed. Not sure if I would be reimbursed for the cost of repairs or how that’s suppose to work. But are they also going to pay for my lost day of work wages, to take it into the repair shop?! then to take it back for the repairs? I highly doubt that. I believe something this concerning should’ve already been deemed a safety recall.

41 Seat Belt problem of the 2014 Dodge Durango

Driver side third row seat belt will not retract. It came out and stayed out all of the way. It is unusable . I've tried everything to get it to go back in.

42 Seat Belt problem of the 2014 Dodge Durango

Failure Date: 10/05/2021

The front passenger and third row passenger seat belts are locked and unusable. I can't have anyone sit in the front seat as it is locked at a position that it will not click in and will just dangle. The third row passenger seat belt also will not retract or come out.

43 Seat Belt problem of the 2015 Dodge Durango

45 Seat Belt problem of the 2014 Dodge Durango

Failure Date: 09/01/2021

The second and third row seat belts have cracks like the recall to the front driver and passenger side seat belts. Dealer said current recall does not include the other rows and it is dangerous for both children, car seats and adults when riding as passengers. Cost just for the third row is quoted at $1,300. I have 2 daughters that I do not feel safe in the car in the event of an accident.

46 Seat Belt problem of the 2014 Dodge Durango

Failure Date: 07/30/2021

Rear seat belt guides plastic is cracked preventing seat belt from retracting.

48 Seat Belt problem of the 2014 Dodge Durango

Failure Date: 07/07/2021

A passenger seated in the third row drivers side seat extended the seatbelt to fasten. Once we were in transit, the passenger leaned forward, causing the belt to extend. When they leaned back into seat, the belt did not retract. Upon trying to get the retraction to engage, the seatbelt became fully extended and would not retract, putting passenger safety at risk. We were able to stop the vehicle without further incident to address. Upon inspection, it appears that part of the mechanism behind the interior panel is broken. We were able to move the passenger to the other rear seat position since the vehicle was one seat short of being at passenger capacity. We will have the belt evaluated by the dealership upon returning from our travels. This is the first instance of the issue in this vehicle, however based on consumer feedback research, this seems to be a common issue in this year/make/model of vehicle.

49 Seat Belt problem of the 2014 Dodge Durango

Failure Date: 06/12/2021

We had problems with the driver seat belt we had dealership look at it and there were no recalls. We had it replaced . Now the passenger seatbelt will not retract - there should be recalls for my vehicle as I have seen where other Dodge Durango’s had recalls for the same issue. I cannot transport anyone in my passenger seat until it is fixed. Highly disappointed - we have a Dodge Durango - Chrysler van and Dodge ram - we give our business to these brands and the seatbelts are not under recall when they are failing to restrain people. This should be covered under recall!.

50 Seat Belt problem of the 2014 Dodge Durango

Failure Date: 05/24/2021

The third row seat belts no longer retract and have the same issue that my front driver and passenger seat belts had. Those were both fixed under an extended warranty, but the rear belts which appear to have the same mechanism and same fault (crack in the plastic) were not included.

51 Seat Belt problem of the 2017 Dodge Durango

Failure Date: 05/07/2021

Both second row seat belts failed. The dealer comment is that both retractors broken. The seat belts failed within 3 years, but outside the mileage restriction for warranty repair. The vehicle is predominantly for business travel, with limited second row passengers, and averaging 25k miles per year. A Dodge case was opened on my behalf, but I was informed that the vehicle is out of warranty and no action will be taken. The parts are roughly $250, but labor to install them is substantially more, as the interior has to be disassembled. It is unreasonable for seat belts to fail with 75,000 miles on the vehicle, and under 200 uses.

55 Seat Belt problem of the 2013 Dodge Durango

Failure Date: 01/01/2021

Since I purchased this vehicle in January 2020 11th, it drove like it had bad gas in it. It wanted to go when I accelerated but slow to move. I was not told by the dealer nor given car fax about the recall and the dangerous it could pose to me and my family. I had a leak, which had to do with transmission and I repaired it out of our own expenses bc it wasnt covered. It also stopped turning on as well. My husband was visiting his sister, and it cut off while coming onto the on the ramp of a local street. Exactly what the recall said as notified in December 2020 happened while in motion on a busy road. I am thankful it was my husband and not me and my three young children. That day was January 1st 2021, the car was towed to my home, aaa only allows one tow. And gate of dealership was closed. It is still there. And I was told it was on back order the part and wont be in until February. I am without a loaner as well as a rent a car. Unfortunately the dealership in my home wont have the part until febuary and I already drove to the dealer I purchased from over 100 miles away 2x since our pruchase and its not safe to drive.

56 Seat Belt problem of the 2014 Dodge Durango

Failure Date: 12/19/2020

Front seat belt retractors have locked making them unusable. I am the only owner, no accidents and 81000 miles. Dealer says not covered under warranty and cost to repair is over $600 each. This is a noted issue on the same year Jeep too. This should be a recall item. My car is child free also. This is unsafe and should not be occurring,.

57 Seat Belt problem of the 2014 Dodge Durango

Failure Date: 12/09/2020

Seat belts wont retract, forward collision system works only half the tome or less.

58 Seat Belt problem of the 2014 Dodge Durango

Failure Date: 12/01/2020

Seatbelt for driver no longer retracts or locks when brake is applied. Doesn't retract back when vehicle is off and seatbelt is removed just flops. Back lift gate opens and then closes and suspends halfway will hit your head if you're standing under it. Interior overhead lights do not turn off while vehicle is in motion and running. Don't turn off for about 5-10 minutes after vehicle turned off and is locked.

59 Seat Belt problem of the 2014 Dodge Durango

Failure Date: 10/06/2020

I was driving down the street and 1 vehicle in front of me about 3 to 4 car lengths. The woman was going same speed, I looked to my right to assure a dog was not going to run into the strret, 2 seconds, an looked back at road and person in front had stopped, with no turn signal on and no oncoming traffic. I firmly applied brakes and tried to veer around the car but there was not sufficient space and hit the back of car so hard it tossed around items in the car breaking front windshield, knocking off my glasses. The force was so hard it thrust my body hard onto steering wheel and leg into dash. The airbags did not deploy for driver or passenger. The seat belt did not hold my body to the seat. I have a very serious contusion on left leg where putting weight on the leg is terrible pain. I have a fractured sturnum(chestbone) making breathing, walking, getting up or down, reaching for something extremely difficult and extremely painful. Your site by VIN number states there was a recall on airbags, I never received any notice of a recall on airbags or seatbelt. I phoned local dealership for history and they reported there has never been a recall on this make and model. I talked with insurace agent and an attorney and they had no information of recalls on this vehicle. Now I dont know what to believe, but I do know something is wrong as either the airbag or seat belt should have prevented me from being thrust forward so hard to fracture my sternum and cause serious injury to left knee. I would like an investigation as to why the airbag and seatbelt did not work properly. I dont believe this vehicle is safe. Please conduct the investigation.

Failure Date: 03/09/2020

61 Seat Belt problem of the 2014 Dodge Durango

Failure Date: 11/21/2019

When I purchased car 12/3/19 rear passenger side seat belt did not retract so child couldn't occupy seat, this was fixed immediately. Then 8 months later the right side passenger seat belt broke and wouldn't retract and now front drivers seat won't retract and the Dodge dealership says that it would cost $600 to fix and I said no its a safety issue and should be covered and vehicle was at 92000 miles ?? so as of now it is still not repaired and I contacted Dodge corporate office and they still won't repair ridiculous I told them last Dodge I will purchase , this is my 4th Dodge sadly probably my last.

62 Seat Belt problem of the 2014 Dodge Durango

Failure Date: 11/01/2019

Upon parking and removing the seatbelt, I noticed it would not retract. Upon further visual inspection, there is a crack on both sides of the part that holds the strap. Dealership states this is not covered under warranty. However, this seems like a huge safety concern if the part is faulty and there had been an accident. Please see picture.

Airbag light and service airbag system warning constantly on. Airbag system deactivated. Very dsngerous if collison were to hsporn. Told my VIN is not included in recall p67, which is the issue I am having. This seems to be a common problem with multiple reports of not being included in the recall yet experiencing the same safety issue that is covered under recall p67.

67 Seat Belt problem of the 2014 Dodge Durango

Failure Date: 06/10/2019

The seat belt component cracks causing it to push on the seat belt and therefore, not allowing the seat belt to retract. This happened almost a year ago, we haven't been using the seat. We just finally had it looked at and we're told that both of them in the 3rd row are cracked but the driver side is currently still working. I have photos but I can't upload it on this form. The picture with the crack on the side is the one not working. The one with the crack in the middle still works.

68 Seat Belt problem of the 2014 Dodge Durango

Failure Date: 03/01/2019

This specific model I'm currently leasing is a limited model. I've had it for maybe 3 years. According to the manual, were only to use e85 fuel so that it could run smoothly. Unfortunately, not many gas stations where I live carry that specific gas type and not many gas stations in florida and other states alone, provide e85 fuel we are given no choice but to use the alternative gas. It's becoming a nuisance when we want to travel. When the check engine light first appeared the gas gauge also stopped functioning. The truck isn't able to reach a full tank. Something is preventing it. This is becoming an inconvenience for me and my family to have to search and go to just 2 gas stations miles apart from each other to be able to put gas in! majority of the times the gas stations that do offer this type of gas are down due to maintenance. Since I've been puttting in the alternative fuel which is the 87, the truck isn't functioning properly and now I'm starting to have all sorts of problem with my truck. It's a headache. I really love my truck and don't want to get rid of it. I had a mechanic check it out and was told that my my fuel injector and fuel sensor need to be replaced. The costs are expensive and I don't think it's fair.

70 Seat Belt problem of the 2014 Dodge Durango

Failure Date: 06/23/2018

I have 2 active recalls on this vehicle, they are t59, brake booster water shield may have been incorrectly installed, and p67, occupant restraint control (orc) module may develop an internal fault. I have 1 active campaign on this vehicle, it is u06, autopark functionality. I just purchased this vehicle on June 23rd, 2018 at performance Dodge la vista, nebraska. I was informed by the performance Dodge la vista, nebraska service department that the recalls were performed, and not reported, due to lack of personnel in the recalls reporting department. Meanwhile, I drive a new/used vehicle, wondering if the dealership actually addressed the open recalls, and campaign on my vehicle, with my safety at risk. This is highly unacceptable, it is now September 16th, 2018, and the recalls, and campaign are still outstanding on my vehicle. I am looking to you for assistance in this matter. I am also worried if the work was not actually completed, and just reported as complete by the dealership, the thought of this is frightening, again, since my safety, and that of my family, is at risk when operating this vehicle. Thank you for listening, and I hope to hear from you regarding a resolution to this matter soon. Good day, timothy mace 7006 la vista drive la vista, ne 68128 tmace2017@gmail. Com 531-444-7326.
