Takara recall: when leaving work I started my car and began to back out of the parking lot when I went to push on my brakes to stop my car my brake pedal went all the way to the floor as if I had nothing but air. I called and had the car towed to a local shop 4 different master cylinders put on the car two new calipers on the driver side front and back replaced along with a new abs module and brake line hose on the front left side 2500. 00 later and I still have no front left brakes!!!! complete nightmare and it is completely unsafe not one person can figure out what the problem is OH I shall add we also replaced the brake pads!.
2009 Dodge Journey. Consumer writes in regards to vehicle faulty brake system issues. The consumer stated all four wheels were locked which left the vehicle immobile. The brake pads, rotors, calipers and master cylinder were all replaced and the vehicle still can't be driven.
Tl-the contact owns a 2009 Dodge Journey. The contact stated that while driving 30 mph, the brakes went out and the contact had to press the brakes extremely hard to stop the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the power transfer unit assembly fractured causing the master cylinder to stop working. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The failure mileage was 55,266. Ad.
Around 14,000 miles the brake pedal would sink. Dealer found bad master cylinder. During further inspection of brake system they also found front brake pads worn. At 24,000 the rear pads and rotors are no good. You can feel car shimmy when slowing down on freeway. Pre-mature failer on pads and rotors. Car is mostly freeway miles with no hard braking.
