This is a follow-up to 11244334 and 11243797. For background, the 2017 Journey began stalling intermittently and not throwing a code (starting at about 23,500 miles). The stalling occurred during all driving conditions and speeds. The dealership could not reproduce the event and told me to drive until it throws a code. After 6,000 miles and hundreds of stalls the vehicle finally threw a code, (29,500 miles, p0335 crankshaft position sensor). The sensor replaced, connector did not fit sensor well so it was replaced (subject of complaint 11244334). Thought it was fixed, and three days later, it stalled again on the highway. Only this time the traction light came on and brakes did not work intermittently. Back at the dealership, the technician in his frustration and opened the wiring harness. What he found about 8 inches from the connector was "crank shaft position wires cut and twisted together. . . " the service advisor asked who else was in there. I bought the vehicle new at the dealership and they have done all work and maintenance meaning this issue was in production.

While driving, the contact's vehicle failed to stop and rear ended another vehicle. The grill of the contact's vehicle was damaged. There were no injuries and a police report was not filed. The vehicle was driven back to the dealer and they replaced the abs part after the crash. The manufacturer was contacted and stated that they wanted to examine the vehicle. The manufacturer concluded that there was no malfunction with the brakes after the repairs from the crash were already completed. The manufacturer stated that the bearings were the cause of the failure. The contact felt that the dealer was responsible for the crash. The failure mileage was 19,960.

Was parking on an incline, I had come to a complete stop. When I applied the parking/emergency brake the cable disconnected from the parking/emergency brake pedal. There was an audible pop and the pedal fell towards the firewall. The pedal no longer retracts without manual assistance. When fully retracted, if not held in place, the weight of the pedal trips the brake's sensor and the brake alarm.

The car cut out traveling down the highway with engine light fault and lose of power, brakes and steering. This is a common problem with the crankshaft position sensor (code p0335) and needs Dodge to recall on this and fix this lethal fault of complete lose of control at speed. Yesterday was the 3rd time this has happened and I had my family in the car this time.

The problem was the engine stalling while driving. Lost the ability to steer and brake. I had this problem happen to my 18yr old daughter on October 9th 2017. I called the dealer on October 10th where we purchased it to explain what was going on. They got it in that morning and drove it for about 30 miles and could not recreate the problem. They said the car did not give them any codes to tell them what the issue was so they could not do anything because they did not know what to replace. I am not sure if there is a relevance to the problem but a week before this happened my keyfob would not work at all. The car would say key not detected. I had to press the keyfob into the button to get the car started. Once I got home, which is 15 miles away, I noticed the tpm sensors were only reading 1 tire pressure. The others were reading "---". The keyfob battery's were replaced on both keyfobs to make sure that was not the issue but it didn't help. I disconnected the battery to reset the computer and the keyfobs started to work correctly. I drove the car a few miles and the tpm sensors started to read. Again I am not sure if this is related but thought I should point it out. This is a dangerous problem and could end up very bad with not being able to steer or brake because you loose all power. Here is a video of the problem happening. Https://drive. Google. 2 lights came on on the dash. It was determined to be the anti lock brake sensor so I had it replaced. Less than 30 days later, it came on again. It was determined to be the same thing but they wouldn't cover fixing it because they didnt know if it was the same one they had already replaced ir another of the sensors. Apparently this is something that happens on all Dodge Journeys and for some reason, a recall hasnt been issued.

I received notice of recall for antilock brake system for my vehicle (VIN: 3c4pdcab3dt6682434). I requested service from triangle Chrysler DE ponce 2616 ponce by pass ponce, pr 00728 787-812-4025 they accepted the vehicle for service, February 19, 2016 in the morning. In the afternoon, they called me to say that the lights that indicated problems with the abs system will not turn off if a sensor is not replaced, which cost is $115. I don´t agree and are not satisfied by their explanation. I understand that if the problem of the recall caused the signal advice, it should be repaired. They say that the recall covers the module but not the sensor. I requested a review of the dealer´s decision to mopar and they never answered. I am including the dealer job service, and a photo of the lights in the vehicle panel.

My 2009 Dodge Journey has less than 18000 miles on it, I drive a total of 9-10 miles both ways to work. I've had to replace the brakes twice for rusting out. Peeved at the tech's comment "you don't drive it enough" as if I am stupid woman. In 2010 I ask for my tires to be checked cause they were constantly low, looking at my invoice from 1/18/10 I asked for them to be checked and all they did was correct pressure. Now I hear about these stems prematurely cracking and after just buying my first replacement set of tires was told, 3 of the stems are cracked and they (tire dealer, not car dealer) couldn't replace cause they have some sensor chip in them. In addition, the tires would consistently lose pressure until the stems are replaced.

Everything first started about 4 months after purchase with the sensor lights randomly coming on while I was driving. I have replaced brakes and rotors 4 times. But the problems within the last 4 months have been the worst. My car will not start all the time very unreliable. I have had to replace the starter twice the battery two starter modules and the ignition and still doesn't work. As soon as it's possible I will get rid of this car and never again as long as I live will never purchase another Chrysler product. They are junk!!!!.

Parking sensor in transmission that sends a signal that car is in park not working I properly may be a huge issue because when you are in drive and sitting it gets stuck in park. Then takes off no warning. If me o our anyone in my family is injured I will be the one to help settle a law suit with Chrysler. I spoke of this problem to the dealer while it was under warranty the rep. Said I had to leave my car there till the problem duplicates. This is a expensive car and my only transportation which is why I had the warranty . The other issue is when sitting at the light the breaks slip causing the vehicle to lunge forward. This is even after replacing the brakes at the dealership the vehicle is a money pit. The consumer takes the bill or could lose their life messing with Chrysler.
Passenger rear tire kept losing air. The goodyear service garage broke the tire down and cleaned up seal area and I noticed it still leaked air a week later. The sensor came back on. . I put air in tire and it lasted another week took it back to service garage. They discovered the stem with the sensor had a crack in it. If it wasn't under warrenty it would cost $40-$60 to replace. That's a lot of money for a valve stem. This sensor is a waste of money. Look at your tires save money. While the service center fixed that they saw my front brake pads worn down to almost nothing and the rotors almost completly shot. Having only 16,500 miles on my Journey I feel a sensor would have helped for this $360 repair job. I get a new but barley legal rotor you sell for new. Can;t even turn them down any more. Having to replace them with only 16,500 miles it a bunch of --ap!! where's my warrenty on this. Just send me my $360 and we'll call it even. The say driving a safe automobile is top priority. Let's fix these rotors.
When I bought my car in 2009. I noticed that my brakes squeaked when I stop I took it back to the dealership, I was told that nothing was wrong. Keep complaining all the time, then the vibration started and I needed rotors and brakes. The aftermarket brakes doesn't fit had to replace them with the dealership brakes. Had to replace a two tire sensors. Had to have my rotors resurfaced will need new rotors. Recently the engine coolant overheating light came on. The fan stop working its electrical the mechanic can't figure out why it stop. My car sometimes doesn't start, took it to a mechanic. No reason why. When my air is on it takes the car longer to gain speed on the highway. I contacted the dealership where I purchased it and Dodge. Both were rude and didn't offer any help. I purchased the extended warranty and it didn't cover anything.
