The contact owns a 2005 Dodge Magnum. When the contact placed the gear into park, the vehicle rolled backwards. The dealer stated that the anchor releases if the emergency brake is not engaged. When the emergency brake is engaged, the gear shifter will not move out of park. The vehicle was previously repaired under warranty by the dealer; however, the warranty is currently expired. The dealer will not repair the vehicle for free. The failure mileage was 77,583.
